MyGaming's most epic competition ever

iPad 2, it's an epic tablet what more can I add?
I want it, cause first of all, my parents have been trying to find alternatives to providing my sister a pc/laptop thing when she graduates, and if I get one I can show it to her, and see if she likes it (if she does, she can then keep it and I'll have helped my parents saved thousands :)) but if she doesn't then I'll probably put it to good use elsewhere :)
 
iPad 2.
Why, because i want to see what all the fanboi's are on about...? :D Also I need something to entertain me during the day and with the awesome capabilities as an entertainment device I just think it's a must. My birthday is also very soon so all the more reason to have one!
 
iPad 2 is my choice of entry. It is the perfect TOOL to use at university, read lecture slides, as I cannot afford my own piece of equipment. Here is how I eliminated:

Xbox 360 250 GB console bundle: That means I have a console and no games; pointless
PS3 320 GB console bundle: same as xbox. However awesome it would be to give a console a go winning one or saving up to buy one would be pointless due to cost involved for purchasing games
Nvidia GTX 570 Phantom Edition graphics card: Would improve framerates, but not increase the games I can currently play as my 9600 does the job, I'm a storyline/gameplay whore, not a graphics whore. As long as I don't have stutter or lag, I will play.

Grapics card please!!!!!!!!!!! I'm the only girl gamer i know. And my PC is broken now i have to game on my moms laptop!! Help a sad girl:cry:
 
Nvidia GTX 570 Phantom Edition graphics card

I desperately need a new graphics card. It's terrible not being able to play great games on high settings with reasonable framerates, some games I can't play at all. Oh the misery =(. And I'd love to make the switch over to Nvidia, it's about time.

Reason: Always been an Apple fan; got an Iphone but the screen size just doesn't cut it. I'd love to have one of these babies for some bedtime reading, as well as having my baby boy play some casual games on it !!

xbox 360
I have played PC all my life and none of my friends own a xbox. And missing out on all the console exclusive games just kills me. None of my friends own a console so it would be a great new experience for all of us.
I would really like to get on the big hype train that being console gaming.
 
Definitely interested in the iPad2. great for on the go, getting tired with hopping on the plane with my laptop. already have an Xbox with kinect; enjoying the xbox live!!
 
I would choose the PS3.
The reason is selfless. My brother (turning 30 this year) badly wants a console. He's always coming to visit and asking what new game I have (at the moment he's waiting for me to get MK9, I've been entering the weekly exclusives comp so I could win MK9 and we could play together). He got me into gaming (teaching me how to play Mortal Kombat when I was 5, talk about a role model ;)) and Im very greatful for that. But he got married, moved into a new house, and is now having a baby. So money is spent on more important things. So I will be giving the PS3 to him. There is a plus for me too, we can share games, and save some cash that way as well. And off course, I can hopefully play online against him some day. There's nothing as good as surprising someone you love with a present they really want, and really dont expect. That's the reason I want to win that PS3! And also... so I can beat him in MK!! Lol it wont be the first time his little sister won a match ;P

Nvidia GTX 570 Phantom Edition graphics card

I would love this card as I am currently sporting an 8600GT from 2007 and I can no longer play any games (including much awaited dungeon siege 3 and The Witcher 2) until I have upgraded my graphics severely. I currently only play console games and MMO's on the most basic settings, which is making me a sad panda.

PS 3

I would like to win the PS 3 because most of my friends have PS3s and I'm the only one who can't play online with them.. Or play against them.. Which is sad.. Because I love gaming.. And i would love to shoot my friends at some fps or team up and destroy some other team...:D
 
I choose the GFX Card

I would choose the graphics card. The reason is fairly simple really, I have a PS3 that I bought for the Blu-Ray movie capability (at the time it was the cheapest blu-ray player), and my wife loves the console gaming. I just don't find PS3 games that much fun.

I think the reason is that I am an MMORPG fan, in particular, I'm also a Blizzard fan, having played all their games religiously since good old "Lost Vikings" and "Blackthorne" - famous for his shoot-behind-shotgun-action.

I think PC games have always been better than console games because of the different mechanisms you can interact with other gamers. Some of my best friends in real life are just that because we were also friends online. I'm a godfather to a couple who I've only ever met online.

So I'd go with the graphics card update so I can continue to play all these magical games on the PC with the baddest gfx settings. Also, it is kind of wrong that I introduced my wife to gaming and her pc has a better gfx card than mine :P

Ipad2

IPAD2, I think the ipad 2 is a great way to getting some fun gaming for my kids and use the device to educate then. There are so many useful ways to teach them, from the touch aspect to apps that teach them things about animals, colouring plus daddy will enjoy it big time, as well :)
 
iPad2, kinda tired of carrying my study books around when I go somewhere, even though I have the books in PDF format on computer. That and it can also play awesome UDK games like Infinity Blade. No way I'm gonna be able to afford it otherwise.
 
Definitely the Nvidia GTX 570 Phantom Edition graphics card. I'm busy saving up for a major pc overhaul to get the best out of BF3 and Skyrim later this year. And my sister will certainly appreciate getting her mits on my current box :)

I'd love the XBOX bundle, mainly coz I have an epic like PC n stuffs and all my m8's are like, sony fanbois etc etc etc. And also because like, at least Xbox Live won't get h4ck3d or something lulz!

But no really. I would love the Xbox bundle. My brother has one with Kinect, and it's bloody fantastic. I have a mate that already has a PS3, which we always jam at my place on my HDTV. So having an Xbox would throw an alternative for braai and UFC night :). And yes I have an l337 computer already.

OT : Lol at spammers. Yay more chances of winning for me :D

Nice competition. It certainly will get mega interest, especially with the awesome prizes up for grabs. I hope it goes well and gets new active members. Can't make up my mind between the Ipad and PS3, assuming I was successfully chosen. Both interest me in different ways.
