North Korean govt funded my MMO hackers

Meh, $6,000,000 over two years is a lot but I don't think that it'll fund a hell of a lot for an entire country. Then again it sounds like $250,000 a month which, for video games, is ridiculous.

I agree. Doesn't sound like a lot, but I am sure that every little bit helps. The US should look into this and go all "PvP" on them. Cyber war.

Hmm.. with all those jobless people out there perhaps South Africa should start training people to play world of warcraft..
Im sure we could do with $3 000 000 coming into the country every year.

On the other hand , I wish someone would go bust a cap in north korea's ass.

Its one thing to buy food with money , its another thing if youre torturing people ,

Selling virtual goods for real money isnt "bad" , if people are stupid enough to pay real money for powerups on a toon , its your loss and I would be more than happy to take your money.

I have a problem with people who are generally evil . so im not throwing out the baby with the bathwater here.

I wish USA would send a sniper team to North Korea and go shoot the crap out of that guy.

Ive said it , evil people who torture and kill the innocent need to die.

Yeah I just don't see the USA bringing order into any country cleanly and humanitarian...ly...

That's kind of off topic though. The fact that they can make that much money off of shitty MMOs I've never heard of is pretty impressive. They should make a university course on it.

I do think that what can be drawn from this is a pretty interesting analogy. World of Warcraft gold (or money in any MMO) is actually really similar to the real world economy, since only a tiny percentage of a countries 'money' is real -- the rest is literally World of Warcraft gold -- only valuable because people think it's valuable.

Yep , and , I said USA as I dont see any other country bored enough to try it and be able to get the UN to allow them "they have weapons of mass destruction ! Look at my recently edited satellite pictures , trucks moving from here to here , and ive edited in thermal images to show nuclear reactors here and here , in short , they are planning to blow stuff up and they are moving around the evidence so lets go blow them up" (based on a true story ,lol)

While most people would agree with the general sentiment, it creates more problems than it solves.
Who decides when someone is evil?
What gives that person(s) the moral upper hand?
Who watches the watchers?

It's one thing to disagree with some tyrannical leader of some country, but one has to look back into it for a while. Kim (the tyrant of N-Korea) didn't just one day walk up to a podium and loudly proclaim "I am God, do what I say or die!".

The people and the government and the military and everything all knew exactly what was going on, and they sat back and did nothing.

Anyway, I agree that Kim might need a lead-based attitude adjustment (bullet), I am always hesitant to simply judge death upon a person - even more so when that person got to that position without anyone locally doing anything about it...
