Official Battlefield 4 Thread

I sometimes play int Servers when the SA ones are dead in the mornings when i get home from nightshift, there is sometimes the best servers to get knife kills on :D
 
I recently aquired BF4 on special, but would like to know if there is a multiplayer mode which is limited to infantry only? As mentioned in the start of the thread, i hate driving tanks, and flying planes

hehe, there are some maps limited to infantry, I dont have their details, but just search and go through the description. I know there is a metro map that allows no explosive weapons (no explosive grens or rockets). You get kicked for using them.

Search for "Operation Metro" or "Operation Locker". Pure infantry.

Just play as an engineer so you have some anti-vehicle ability and if you see a space open in a vehicle then hop in as a gunner/passenger, leave all the flying/driving nonsense to others and just sit tight and repair the shit out of the vehicle if you ain't in a gunner seat.
 
CTE Patch 2

So patch 2 for the CTE has been released, here are the changes for those interested:
PATCH DAY Today we will patch both server and client on the CTE for the second time! This will mean some server downtime. You will also have to update your CTE client in Origin to join servers once they are up again. PATCH CONTENTS This patch includes:

Hi-Frequency Network Update client option You now have the option to turn off or lower the amount of “tickrate” your internet connection can handle – everyone with constant packetloss (due to low bandwidth) on the current CTE should try the options and make sure it works properly. The current default is “HIGH” so everyone else can just ignore this one :).

Dampened explosive camera shake (give us feedback on everything from grenades to levolution shakes)

Possible fix for PC chat delay

New maps: Operation Metro 2014, Wave Breaker (enabled later)

Hainan Resort: Under-terrain exploit fix

Some other tweaks too small to mention

WHAT ARE WE TESTING? We need to make sure the “tickrate” is still working and engagements keep on being improved (as reported by the majority). Also we need to make sure the option works – turning it off or on a different setting actually helps players with low bandwidths.

Seems nice wonder how the shield will work? but so many servers don't play the new bloody mapps realy makes me think about having my own server again

I agree dude. I haven't had one game on Metro because the servers that do offer the new maps are constantly empty, whilst the servers running the standard maps are full as can be. People REALLY didn't buy into the expansions for this game.
 
Which is kinda disappointing cos some of the new maps are awesome also very few that actually do run the exp's are hardcore which i mostly play. So i'm gonna have a talk with some friends and see if we can get a server going again. Will hear what skillgannon says about the server he's gonna run

Search for the [TcR] server... usually full on weekends and some weeknights but its a "no explosives" server, 24/7 metro 44/48 player conquest 800 tickets

Geezers Premium server is also nice because it rotates maps and game modes and includes expansions, 48 player normal server.

But really, the only servers that are always full are the vanilla ones
 
So apparently some battlepack unlocks from CTE carry over to normal game. In CTE you get all the premium battlepacks again so any battle bonuses you get from the battlepacks will be added to your list of battle bonuses in the normal game.

I would join but I have no money for premium which sucks bec I am starting to get burnt out with the base maps. :(
