Official Destiny Thread

I'm sure this has been answered, but I don't want to go through all these pages.

I got destiny when it first launched, but Ive only played an hour or so (server issues). I didn't carry on later on because I heard about this new revamp that they were doing. So I have ordered the taken king day 1 edition, does this include everything up until this expansion including the revamped destiny? I ask this because on neogaf someone said the legendary edition is the one that comes with everything.

You are correct. Destiny 2.0 patch went live yesterday evening with a whole barrage of changes and there is the preview game types for the week up until The Taken King release on the 15'th.

From The Taken King release on the 15'th you will have access to everything that has since been released in year one.

*apart from some year one exclusive rewards which you may or may not have earned. Also but not including VIP rewards etc.

It depends on what version you bought. The legendary edition includes everything, even standard Destiny, which is a waste if you already have it. You aren't paying for the patches, only the content. How much did you pay for it? Is it the 499 version? Because that is only available to those that already have Destiny and both expansions.
 
LOL I'm blind the description says - Destiny: The Taken King Battlechest - Day 1 Edition (PS4),
but when I zoomed over the picture of the box it says legendary edition. So that will obviously include everything.

Can't wait to jump back in.
 
Yup that would be everything. The 499 version is the one for the people that have everything else.
 
The hefty patch isn’t without its issues though. A quick visit to Bungie’s forums reveals a number of issues some players are suffering from. Bungie made sure to let everyone know it’s aware of them, and post a list of what they’re working to address.

Here are the key issues:

Some players are able to access Emblems and Shaders from the Weapons Pack, SUROS Arsenal Pack and Collector’s Edition Exotic Guardian Class Items before 9/15/2015. All items will be made available to eligible players on 9/15/2015. We apologize for any inconvenience or confusion that may have been caused.

We’re aware of an issue where Patrols and Faction-specific Quests are not granting the expected rewards upon completion. These rewards will be granted as expected for these activities starting on 9/15/2015. Patrols and Faction-specific Quests completed before this time will not retroactively grant rewards.

We’re aware of an issue where players may experience a Destiny application crash/freeze when multiple status effects are active. We’re actively investigating this matter.

Xbox One players who have purchased The Taken King Collector’s Edition Upgrade via the in-game prompt are unable to install the added content at this time. We’re aware of this matter and are actively investigating.

I've played Destiny quite a bit (got a lvl 35) but haven't got much experience with raids. But looking to get into them with The Taken King. If anyone is keen to play with a raid/party noob, be it just normal content or other stuff like the raids, my PSN ID is Daft56.
