I'm still in two minds about this man. It looks really good the little I've seen of it but...... FPS :(

Dude! If you feel that you suck at FPS games with controller, don't fret!
I am the ultimate noob with that, I suck at aiming with the analogue stick, but this game has a little auto-aim assist which helps dramatically. Think of GTA5's assisted aiming and probably a little less. This is literally the first game I'm playing that is FPS on console.

Dude! If I can do it, you can do it!
But yes, kinda the same principle between Red Dead and GTA, it's just slightly less in Destiny (it's very feint assistance).
But the whole control mechanics are so well polished and smooth, it makes it feel natural.

But a game like Killzone Shadowfall, I suck donkey dick with aiming. I only played that for like and hour or two before shelving it.

Auto aim is great for people that are not used to analoge aiming, it's a nightmare for people like me who can aim well. I keep on wanting to manually track my own targets but I keep forgetting the game is doing it for me.

Tried out a bit of remote play with the Vita earlier and I must so I am impressed. The game looks really good on the Vita's OLED screen and controls actually work really well. Aiming is a bit difficult but you can see remote play wasn't just an afterthought for Bungie, they made an effort to optimise the controls for the handheld.

Ok, so I have played through the (kinda) intro and reached at least lvl4 on all three characters. Is it just me or does each character play the same? I feel they should each play differently, seeing as they're different classes. I find the only thing that differs is their respective power (ie punches).
I did have one instance where I was trying to reach a ledge that I could do so with Titan and Hunter, but could not with Warlock, despite having the same unlock on the jumping. Also kinda got the feeling that the Hunter's responses felt a bit quicker?

Please let me know your thoughts, or am I just tripping?!

They will probably play the same at the lower levels, until you start to specialize with locking in your char to specific traits. It's a FPS at heart, so the shooting is not going to change at all it's down to the class specific abilities that you unlock as you progress.

I see it's a crucible event weekend from the 12 (today) to the 14th and uou guys better start level up to 26 fast because the first raid is on the 16th of september and you need to be level 26 for it

so just to clarify, this game is basically, "HALO", right ?
It's made by the same people so the gameplay is very similar but I think it's got a different feel to Halo. But I haven't actually played it myself, it's just what others have told me :)

I concur. I am in the same boat. I have never played any Halo game. But from all the 'initial/part reviews', people have been saying exactly the same thing. It is Halo on a bigger scale and more 'polished' gameplay mechanics.

I'll admit there's nothing really amazing about the game. It is hulluva fun though, and it has that something that brings you back again and again. I enjoy this more so than Borderlands (though I never played Borderland single player as I found it to be a chore).

Though I will say this. Playing Destiny makes me wonder what Halo is like, if Destiny is anything to go by. I am starting to consider getting the Xbone just to have the Halo Master Chief Collection.

Is it at the speed of COD or Halo?like movement(running).

Game is like crack it plays great and playing the story missions on hard really make it a challange but mobile data users beware it uses loads of cap because it is constantly uploading if you are cap limited stay out of the crucible you have been warned it uses way more cap than Bf4.

Meh I am stuck with my studies this weekend, hopefully if I pull a rabbit out of my hat, I can make some time over saturday evening or sunday late afternoon.

Yeah I've noticed it uses a ton of bandwidth for some reason. Way more than FF XIV for instance.
Plus us 3G users get it way worse because our upload speeds are so good. So we land up hosting players most of the time.

But overall I'm really enjoying Destiny so far. Very polished!
