How is keyboard, mouse, joystick, etc controls ?

Keyboard mouse here.
Can't complain, alot of button bashing. However it is recommended you do the training from start to finish so you get the just of it.

Sorry, excuse all the silly little questions.

What is this game like for the solo-er, the lone traveler? Or is it designed in such a way that at some point you will be forced into joining up with someone or a group of someones?

It's like any other solo game, there are bots around doing pretty much what everyone else was doing, some are smart some are stupid.

Some of them even caused the markets to crash, that's why the patched alot lately.

I joined a crew and so far there is pretty much no incentive for doing group stuff. ED does not have any features (for e.g. as a clan go do X). So at the moment we plan what we wanna do, like stay within a 300 ly distance from one another.
We are currently looking at doing a mining crew expedition. But it doesnt seem appealing cause you cant really transfer credits or pledge credits towards the clan funds.

Yes, and the lack of multi-player features.

We are currently located at the Wohler station in the Kreimann system. It's quite close to SOL and roughly centre between the two spawn points, if somebody wants to join us. The station has a blackmarket and a shipyard (90% sure about SY). It will probably be our base of operation.

How do the financial markets work, like trading and so forth. Is it a dynamic market where other people actions and what what would affect the prices of commodities?

Of course there's no demo available to just try the game to see if I like it or not. Not spending R700+ on something I might not enjoy or that might be a crock of shit to play.

Since it's always online I cant even get a torrent to check it out. DEMOS DEVS!

Come back in a few months. The group/clan system is literally non existent.
If you dont mind playing by yourself doing repetitive tasks then I would say get it.

It's not in yet, but it's a promised feature... Probably one that you will have to pay for later.
