The only thing I can think of is self destruct, they did away with the distress beacon.

I don't suppose I can buy insurance now? (and how do you actually) =P

Eish, I was hoping there would be somebody like the merchant from Starcontrol 2 that pitches up if you get stranded. I will have to be careful if self destruct is the only way... Not even sure if a buddy can bring fuel for you...

Are there any specific resources you guys use or refer to, or just the official forums?
The reddit is very cumbersome. And already using Thrudds trading site.
 
I used Slopeys BPC for a while but all these trade sites and tools connect to the same community driven database which is at most of times out of date. So you end up being the only fool updating the prices and it takes too much time. Probably why no one else updates it either.

Currently i'm just using Cmdr's log to keep my own notes of trade data and cmdr club route planner (currently down while the new db is importing)

Dude they have patched the hell out of the game. Where I could get 200 000k credits in 30 minutes, is now 50 000k.will carry on hopefully I find some way to increase income rate
 
As of last night I'm currently making my way to Altair (near Sol). Running with my second sidewinder and almost got enough for the next ship up.
 
Hmm... these missions; like I took an assassination mission and the target's known location was X, Y and Z. How do you find the okes between three systems?

1. A ship that can travel far 15 ly +
2. Kill warrant scanner
3. Interdictor

And superdrive in-between the systems scanning all ships.

Well since you are near sol, if you want you can make your way to 5 G capricorni, if you get there go to PSI capricorni, Awsum bounty hunting going down there.

Should we, as a community, be based in the same system? Unless you guys are rolling with other mates, but I'm alone (apart from you guys). I think I may have convinced another friend to get it, who used to play EVE. Apart from that, should we not group?!

We can, actually its something I would love to test, when you have 4 people in the same area it sinks fine, but then the lag is unbearable, so i would love to try with some locals and see if the latency issues still live on.

I'll join you guys as soon as they add some grouping features to the game. Currently there is no point in grouping unless you plan on meeting up somewhere for a quick chat.

There is. Pirating.
You find a ship with expensive valuables, one ship takes the fire while the other tries to shoot cargo doors, Once all cargo is out collect cause you wont have enough space in your cargo. then you do runs like that, you can do Minning aswell, but the income rate I have found is 200 000K credits for 1 hr work.

Yeah but it would have been better if you could share the loot. Mining is way too tedious at the moment. i'm waiting for the drone update before trying it again.
 
Ok, can we get together over TS or something some time. This could get exciting. My friends list is growing. Once they've got the mp working better it'll be the shiz

Am I the only one who finds it sad that everybody keeps on talking about what the game will be like in the future when it's working / fully functional?
 
You're just a pessimist :p

Well, I was never involved in the game till this weekend so this is what I know, and I'm sure I read somewhere (maybe even today) that they'll be added better network/multiplayer features. And hey, I'm enjoying it thus far, getting my monies worth at least.
