I dunno so much eh, I've been having some hectic fun of recent with the game, probably since receiving my joystick, haven't touched another game in three weeks. When first started playing I tried kb/m and though very able I found the gamepad easier, and though gamepad is better I found joystick better than that (with use of kb), I can only imagine what a HOTAS will be like.

Now I know Wyzak is very salty about this game (as he should be), seeing as he has been a backer iirc. He feels screwed over and cheated, with promises being broken and what not. But I have not had this, I bought the game not long after release so I knew what I was getting when I bought it. Though knowing full well about the features they haven't included or dropped but they plan to implement, and I was okay with this.

It's gonna have to be a choice you gonna have to make. All I know is that it has been money well spent for the time I have played thus far, and surely more will come toward the Wings update. If you enjoy playing solo in an always online world then yes, I constantly have interaction with other players and it's great, but for the most part I'm flying solo. That's biggest gripe right now, pending Wings update.

This is the biggest thing I don't appreciate from Wyzak is that he tends to bring his negativity into the game from his point of view as a backer, and rightfully so. But don't try and turn people away from buying it, instead make them aware of your situation. I fell it's still a great game despite what it's lacking, but what it makes up for in role playing and experiences, visuals and audio. It's beautiful. I still appreciate what they have done with it.

Yes I am an original kick-starter backer and I bought a retail copy for a friend just before they broke a bunch of promises. I won't give a cent to David Braben again unless the product is already completed and complies fully with my expectations.

People need to know both sides of the story so that they can make up their own minds. There are countless articles from major game reviewers saying things like "galaxy wide, ankle deep". Or 10/10 metacritic reviewers saying "best game ever, excellent foundation, can only imagine what will come in the future" - reading between the lines you can see that the game isn't complete yet - aka it's in early access. There are countless posters on their forum saying similar things.

If people are okay with that by all means, but generally I think it's a better idea for people to wait until the games are feature-complete (I doubt anybody will argue that E: D isn't at this stage) and then since they are waiting anyway, they might as well wait for the game to go on special...
Isengard - Putting everything on the table, so that you can make the best decision with the most information available. It's a fun game and I have every intention of returning to it, once it has more features (hopefully through free-expansions).

Agree with you there. Don't get me wrong. Was in no means hating on you and I appreciate your feedback as someone who was an original backer and expecting all what was promised from the beginning. It's just to me, a helluva fun despite this.

Thanks for the input guys. Going to take the next few days to think about it. If I'm still feeling it by the end of the week then I'll definitely get it. :)

If you are intending to play it with friends (or us), the swing vote might be the wings expansion which should come out sometime over the next week or two.

New Bug Reporting Forum Live

Hi everyone,

As mentioned in recent dev updates we have reviewed our bug reporting procedure to give more visibility on reported bugs.

The bug reporting procedure is changing as of today. The ticketing system will no longer be the primary method for you to report bugs. Bug reporting is now done through the newly created bug reporting section of the forums. You can still raise bug tickets and if we need information from you specifically we will use the tickets as a mechanism to communicate with you. Otherwise the tickets will be used to provide a database to supplement the interaction in the bug reporting forum. You should not expect to receive any communication from us via the ticket system when you report a bug other than an automated thank you acknowledgement.

To report a bug you go to the bug reporting section here:

https://forums.frontier.co.uk/forumdisplay.php?f=105

There you will find stickied threads for known issues and guidelines for reporting issues. You should read those threads before posting. Dedicated staff will monitor this section of the forums to ensure we are capturing the latest information and keep issues tidied in their own threads. They will also keep the known issues and fixed lists up to date.

Please make sure to post bug reports only in that section of the forums, other areas will not be monitored in the same way.

For beta tests a separate sub section of the forums will be created for each beta test and bugs should be raised in those sub forums as appropriate.

We are continuing to work through tickets and reports that have been submitted before these changes, so there is no need to resubmit any previous entries.

Customer Support

Please note that customer support will continue to be conducted via tickets. If, for example, you are unable to start the game, or you have issues with the Elite: Dangerous store, then you should raise a ticket here. We have hired more people on our support team to increase responsiveness, and you will receive a reply from one of the team when you raise a support ticket.

To help understand and respond to your issues quicker, we will be updating the way you categorise your support issue when opening a ticket to our support team.

• Having trouble remembering your email address to login? Select ‘Account Issues’
• Want to pay but have been experiencing issues? Select ‘Payment Problems’
• Unable to get into game and need some help? Select ‘Technical Support’

If you found a solution to your issue before we’ve responded, please remember to close your ticket before heading here.

Thanks!

Michael

New ship looks cool.

I don't have any bugs to report, I'm not playing the game atm :P Only bugs that I can recall is the text chat not working (which has possibly been fixed) and the empty interdictions - I actually want to get interdicted so I submit whenever I am inderdicted just to be dropped into empty space with no radar contacts.

I don't think I've ever had that. But I have jumped to another system and upon arriving my radar/scanner is blank, not even displaying planets/stars.

Hopefully it's also been fixed since. It was quite annoying when travelling long distances and hoping to use the bounty's to fund some of the fuel costs. I've also had weird interdictions where I get attacked by a ship with no outstanding warrant. So if you kill him you don't get anything, and if he kills you he becomes wanted :P Stupid AI :P

Yup, that still happens plenty.
I find that a an easy target had interdicted me and so I succumb to it, destroy them only to find I never collected a thing despite them interdicting me and firing on me first.

Why don't you scan them before the fight starts, to see if they have any warrants outstanding?

I do, or at least I try to. They seem to be very anxious.

From spinning uncontrollably after submitting to the interdiction, select the target only for them to reply with, "I'll take what cargo you have".
I quickly initiate a scan only for them to respond with, "This is you last day scum!", and they open fire.

All this happens within less than 10s it takes to scan. And of course once they've opened fire, I can't let them leave, I must finish them off regardless of getting a bounty/wanted status :P

I should explore in my Viper or someting.

I usually use my Hauler for this due to it's awesome jump range, but I get interdicted a lot and if it something like an Eagle I don't stand a chance. So I always have to flee and they sometimes follow me, so it makes exploring and scanning near impossible.
The Viper's jump range just isn't as far though, but will see if I can make it work. Exploring is a nice break from trading

Hi there guys.

I thought I'd just update you, as of today, I have officially started court proceedings.

For people who haven't been following me or forgot, they agreed to pay £35 (if I forfeit the rest of the money). I demanded they pay the 35 immediately, and then the rest (15) within 14 days if they don't want legal action taken against them. I wrote a whole long email about my complaints about no offline mode and the forum moderators being inappropriate towards me, all of which the details they ignored.

They also failed to pay the £35 immediately, taking over 2 weeks to pay me. This is of course on top of the months waiting since november when I begun my request for a refund.

In their email to me, they simply ignored everything and just wrote that they've refunded me £35 which I've now recieved and they've closed the ticket.

So like I said as a result of the above, 2 requests for a full refund one being denied and the other being ignored, I have initiated court proceedings.

Luke.

And so it begins.

Well that's unfortunate. Considering they've just released another new title?
Maybe that's where they received their funding for that one :p

I also find it most unfortunate that customers have to actually drag the company to court in order to get them to do the right thing.

Hey grats guys, Braben got us to beta test his game up to a point where its stable enough for release... on consoles.
