Official Wasteland 2 thread

Stuck in what way? I haven't reached the prison yet, still at Highpool.

Stuck as in I can't get an item or the quest I am to move forward just spend 4 hours talking to each and every person again and reloading saves and killing stuff to hopefully get this item. There are some turrets you have to get past there are a few ways but the one I am on atm seems to not give me the item I need to go forward.

I'm still stuck in AG Centre. I've run out of ammo.

Ouch how did you do that?
If you don't have Angela Deth I would understand. What type of party do you have?

hahah freaking hell of course rick will be bugged as well now.

LOL! What difficulty are you playing on? It's a good idea to give your guys backup melee skills, and to give them different weapon types so your ammo usage is better distributed.

Blegh, my game crashed. I'm at Ag Center now. When I played the game when it was still in beta, I went to Highpool, so I decided to give Ag Center a go this time around.
So far the game seems to be a bit less forgiving than it was in the beta. Need more 5.56mm ammo :3

What I don't understand is why weapons seem to jam so frequently, yet their jam percentage is very low. Weapons will be like 3% or 5% and I'll have at least 2 jams per firefight.

I understand how RNG works and it might just be bad luck with rolls, but it really feels like they're jamming a bit too frequently.

Also read up on it and it seems the whole team shares it. So if you for one turn everyone fires the next turn you might get a jam or something in that line. Also luck seems to affect it but I have not found anything official just forum peeps talking about it.

I think there may also be a hidden quality when it comes to weapon jamming. AKA if you buy it from a dodgy dealer it may fail more than it claims to fail etc. That's what I read on the forums way back when anyway.

Just made my way to the Rail Nomads Camp after returning to the Ranger citadel for the first time.

My team is coming along very nicely, and I just found level 4 armor in a random cache on the world map. So now I've got 1 level 4, 1 level 3, and 3 level 3s. Also kitted out my team with a level 2 rad suit. Sadly I can't use one of my level 3 armors because only 1 guy in my team has enough strength and he's wearing the level 4 which also has a strength requirement.

Really enjoying the game so far.

A I give up just going to start a new game. Hopefully won't have so many bugs.

What bugs did you encounter? Remember, this is an old school cRPG. Not one of the modern games where they guide you exactly to the item you need to find or the button you need to press. You will have to read the text to progress. It's also open world, so there are many other places to explore and you may need to go back to other places before you can go further. Which places have you visited so far?

2 of them where the npc does not want to initiate a conversation. The one I can get past by just taking him back to jail the other one I could not get a main quest vargas is supposes to start when you click on the broken down radio tower.

It could be that you lack the required skill points or attributes and they just don't want to speak to you. Have you checked their forums? Maybe there is something else that you can do to get around it?

Yeah, there's definitely some hidden variables at play. I strongly suspect your weapon skill factors into it as well. Most of my characters are now starting to hit 5 points and over on their weapon skills and I'm getting a lot less frequent weapon jams.

I wouldn't be surprised if some quests are just broken. The soulmate quest in Highpool is definitely broken in my savegame. I spoke to the soulmate and never got the item I needed to take back to the quest giver.
