Official Wasteland 2 thread

So anyone got this I will get it as soon as I am back on adsl. Or if someone in pretoria has it on gog can give me the files that would be wonderfull.

Speaking of GOG, I own the game on both STEAM and GoG (Got it for backing The Bards Tale 4), on STEAM I have the Dir's Cut available for install, but on GoG I only have the normal version....

I might be able to get the GoG files for you...if I get them on GoG...

Strange I have both on GOG perhaps check again and sent a support ticket.

Got a responce from GoG,

Hello,

We are currently implementing a fix that should resolve this issue for all affected users. It is being aplied one account at a time, so it might take a few more hours until all accounts are fixed. Please be patient, and let me know in case the game isn't present on your account by the end of the day, or by tomorrow.
I apologize for the trouble.

Best regards,
Firek

Hey. Game was added Friday I think. I forgot to post in my initial post, I am in Isando, no PTA. Sorry. dont know why I didnt add that bit...

So now that this available on PS4 with the Director's Cut, is this title worth getting?

Could I possible ask for someone here who has played at least a good few hours of the title (if not finished it). I'm getting a lot of conflicted views and to me this is exactly the type of turn based game I would love, going back to Fallout 1 & 2. One of my biggest concerns is the text size, if there is a lot of reading this may be an issue sitting so far away from screen.

It's either this or Divinity Original Sin Enhanced Edition.

I've finished it on PC and I'll definitely say yes, but as for the text size on PS4 I would recommend that you read some reviews and find out about that. Unfortunately I can't comment on the PS4.

But from what I've read the Directors Cut adds a lot more voice overs, thus doing away with the need to read everything, surely?

Played and finished the "vanilla" version. Definitely a lot to read, but then again so did Fallout 1 & 2 (especially 2). If you love the first 2 fallout games you will definitely want to play WL2. It is the closest you will get to the old Fallouts.

Not sure about the text size on PS4, I'll have to open the game again on my PC to check the text size, then I can comment again tonight.

Yeah, a huge fan of Fallout 2. Loved that shit outta that game!

Lastly, can that typewriter log be hidden. Even in video that irritates me. Or is it really integral to gameplay or mechanics?

Thanks for feedback guys.

I gave it a quick shot on the PC version. You can make it larger, you can make it a bit smaller. You can also unlock the UI and completely move it around to a different place, but it doesn't look like you can completely hide it. I don't think the experience would really be the same if you did completely hide it though. I think there is a button that you can use to hide the entire UI, but that's also only temporary. But all of this is for the PC version...

Cool thanks. I still don't know for certain which platform I'll get it on. If I find it on special somewhere that may determine which platform.

Thanks for feedbacks.

If you aren't sure I would recommend that you go with PC instead. On PC you could always plug in a controller if you wanted to, and if you don't want to you can play with kb + mouse.

The log will give important information, I can't imagine playing without it.

I checked the text size now, it should be fine I think.

If it is too small, sit closer to the TV :D
