Only if I can't get when I want from my preferred options.

Recently Purchased: Withcer 2 CE

Store: Kalahari

Story: So I bought and paid for the W2CE my EFT on the Friday at half past 5, nothing happens. I then went and bought the same thing on my credit card. Sunday morning I hear rumors about orders being cancelled. Tuesday everyone that bought the W2CE gets shafted guys that bought the Deus Ex CE and KZ2 game and controller combo get their money refunded and a R200 voucher. What do I get? 2 weeks of headaches trying to get my money out of kalahari.

On another note, earlier this year I bought a G110 keyboard from them, paid for thing on the Friday and they say next day delivery, so I assume that the product is going to be delivered on the Monday morning since I paid before 12. Nope, it gets delivered 4 days later on the Friday.

Terrible Service from kalahari, and I'l never use them again as long as I can. (that is until they deliver my Diablo 3 CE, which is apparently also delayed)

Recent Purchase: Final Fantasy XIII-2 Guide Book

Story: So I bought this book from takealot (Monday morning), 1 day later it's at my home So i flip through all the pages and notice that 2 pages are printed incorrectly. Notify them and they arrange with the courier to pick it up from my home the next day. Get's to them on Thursday, they contact me I miss the call, miss each other fr the rest of the afternoon. get them on the Friday morning. They will offer me the same product, a credit or a full refund, I select he same product. 5 minutes later I get a call saying the product is out of stock and they will check each day to see if they can get it. I agree. 2 hours later( 11 abouts) my earphones break. Give them a call asking if I can get a credit since I see they have similar earphones in stock, no problem, by the end of the call the credit is loaded onto my account. Buy the earphones and on the Monday morning half past 8 the earphones are delivered at my office and I can start using them.

Takealot = Best store EVAR!

Awesome website with mind blowing prices, I ordered everything for a friend, Chasis, CPU, Mobo, RAM and Power Supply. I was a bit sceptical with them sending everything via the post office but when I went to pick it all up I was very well packaged. Everything was in it's own box which was fitted into the chassis, the open spaces where filled with bubble wrap to stop them from moving around. Needless to say everything was working no problems.

Will I shop there again?
YES!! I have built 4 systems using them.

One of the most important things when it comes to shopping online is customer service and Landmark has that in buckets, they always look after you whatever you need. I had problems with a harddrive I recently purchased due to my own error and they were able to swap it out for me almost immediately with no hassles. I have never had any problems with them, they have good prices and I recommend them to any who are looking to shop online but mainly if you are in the Cape Town area, it is really handy to have them so close by.

Will I shop again with Landmark?
Yes, they are my preferred online retailer.

In the end:
Good service, good products and good prices, I recommend them to everyone.

I've had endless grief with this retailer over this one order. The package was initially received shoved into an old used cd-rom box and wrapped up in brown box tape. After I opened the package and installed the new vga cooler the fans refused to spin up. I returned the package in person a day later and was told I'd have to wait 2-3 weeks while the supplier checked the product. I finally received a phone call saying that a NEW product was ready for collection and that the previous one had indeed been faulty.
When I opened the "new" product i found that is was actually the same fan id originally returned. I instantly phoned Ikonic and was told, contrary to the first phone call, that the supplier said it wasn't faulty. I took the fan back again this time attached to my card to show that it doesn't work (there is no problem with the card as it works with its stock cooler/fan). I've been trying to sort this mess out for 6 weeks now and im just fed up with it and am now battling to get a refund. The guy never returns phone calls and seems totally uncaring about the entire situation.

I am utterly disgusted with the company and I would suggest no-one uses them

I have to say, although I've always been a supporter of their shop I'm disappointed by the level of service or rather non service I've received in this case

First Up - Check Out with Delivery
Delivery Pricing Lists as R900 for Speed Services on the delivery (3 Mice/1 Keyboard/1 Mousepad)
Now I send a lot of items through couriers and tbh, I could have that same package overnighted to me for less than a third of the price
I phone Zaps, The guy tells me there's no mistake, they get their shipping pricing directly form the Post Office
After telling him that its simply not possible that a package could cost that much to ship through especially the Post Office he transfers me
I am told that there MAY be a mistake, I get an updated and specifically quoted delivery invoice a little while later
Down to a reasonable R80
I process Payment

This morning I phone them again, I have not received the order in the last 14 days and I'm informed that they were waiting on stock from suppliers(This despite listing everything as In Stock at date of purchase)
No Notifications, No Communication from them except from my side

To me, this honestly is way below the level of service expected as an industry standard, if you list something as in stock but don't have it in stock, say so before I pay for the item
I would have ordered this entire order from another retailer as the hardware WAS time critical 14 days ago

This is the reason I stopped buying from Kalahari, and this is in all likelihood the reason I just stopped buying from Zaps

I highly recommend spectratec i recently bought my new monitor from them fast delivery and there support is grate,i ask them for a quote on the monitor (Asus VK278Q - 27") and they can back to me and said they are trying to get me a better price with there suppliers and within a little while they gave me a discount on the monitor (really surprised),like there service they keep you up to date with every thing - i don't now if they are new but i recommend them and would use them again.

P.S really props to the guys at spectratec the guys help me after hours till 7:00 helping me with information (questions i had - needed to know if i can trust them with my money)(i ask'd for the quote 15 minuets before 5:00 didn't expect there email till the next day)
 
I have bought stuff from sybaritic a couple of times last year. always decent service and had my P2 x3 upgraded to a black edition because they didnt have stock on the one i wanted at no cost to me.

i would still buy from them now but i work somewhere were i get stuff at cost :)

Summary: Bought an item with them in December, when I received it I changed my mind and sent it back, they credited me the amount no questions asked and I bought something else = very happy!

Summary: Bought a 2.5' external hard drive from them, the day I received it I immediately tested it to see if it faulty and sure enough it was, sent it back and they tested it, they said they could not find fault and can only give me a 75% credit which I was not happy about(after waiting 2 weeks). Needless to say I do not buy from them anymore unless they have a really nice special etc

Never used Wantitall, they just too bloody expensive even after discounts!!

Loot I only use for books as they usually the cheapest with free postage = perfect!
 
I have used wantitall before. it was ok. I don't remember any details so obviously nothing outstanding. Basically got my things on time...

It depends on the size and weight of your order. I bought a Seagate 500GB HDD from them in November 2012 and it cost R 140.00
 
I can vouch for Zaps and Takealot, both have insane customer service and get the products very quickly. i was super impressed with both of them.

Also another site that is kinda ugly, but is possibly the best customer service you can find, although slightly more pricey in some aspects is nivo.co.za. they respond like lightening and have always delivered on time with great communication all the way.
