Is it really all that good? I couldn't manage more than about an hour of the first Torchlight, after which I felt numb in my brain from the mindless clickathon. I guess I'm not into aRPGs anymore...

It's a lot better than the first one, a very good game for the price, but in my opinion Diablo 3 is much more satisfying to play.

I love TL2, played over a hundred hours way back when. Should really fire it up with all the new mods etc.

I don't mind origin. They've had some excellent sales. Uplay on the other hand is the bane of my existence. They update every week and you can't play until it's updated.

What do they update? I have never been affected by uplay downtime, and I hardly ever see any patches.

You only own 2 games on uplay, so I doubt you would notice many patches. Uplay doesn't actually run unless you play something on it.

I am OCD with keeping everything up to date, so I launch it several times a week

The problem is, if you don't do that, then when you do want to play a game you have to wait for the updates.

You can force it to run in offline mode as well.

I haven't found a way to disable the download once it starts. But perhaps I just haven't looked too good.

I honestly don't mind Uplay that much. It's a lot faster and easier on resources than the behemoth that Steam has become and I prefer it to Origin.

I made the mistake of not seeing that the Far cry 3 I bought was Uplay and not Steam. Now I have an UNCHANGEABLE username of User832947238946238743264 or something since I joined up years ago through some promotion (think it was a beta game access)...and no way to change it, even after talking to support...i mean WTF, I can change my gender on-the-fly but my Username (with no bearing on LOGIN name since thats email) is permanent???

Giving away an Actionpack kinda does that to ones rep.

My only problem with Origin is that they only have EA games and I can not recall one good EA game in the last 2 years....

What I MEANT to say is that should I so wish, I can go into the settings and switch between male/female, NOT that I have both sets of toys in the box!
