Ask Blazzok how true that is
Sleeping in? Hah! You will never get proper sleep again. In the past 8 months I think we have slept 7 hours (or more) on about 5 occasions.

Obviously not all babies sleep equally bad, but yeah. We are currently in the teeth cutting phase. 3 - 4 hours sleep is the norm
My kid sleeps pretty well when he is 100% healthy, however sleeping in means that he wakes up at 06:30 instead of 05:30
Wow, been away on holiday last week. Kid managed to get carsick on the way down, and then came down with some serious diarrhea, which then caused the worst case of nappy rash that he's ever had. Not all fun and games this parenting thing....
Hahahah YET again another post making me so... uhm... scared for becoming a dad in about 2 weeks. Was expecting fun and Games!!

Don't worry man you can do it. Just accept now that its going to be tough. Its going to be really tough. Its the hardest thing I have ever done. The worst for me was I didn't feel very attached to my boy immediately. The true love grew over time but all the hardships were more than worth it. We are at 7 months and its so radical, free time is non existent at the moment but its not terrible. Its really cool.
Also sleep.....whats that? Can you eat it?
In a few months time you will be coming home from work and your baby will be so genuinely happy to see you that you could just cry.
Its very, very awesome.
Every1 says its sooooo challenging but worth it! I think I understand that , but I think you only fully understand it once you have been through it!Ah don't worry too much, there's lots of fun and games, but there are also some, shall we say, challenging times.... All totally worth it though.
Some very very awesome words you said there man! I am scared but very excited at the same time! The Fact that it's a girl scares me a bit as well!! =D

So, my boy has seemingly outgrown his cot at 15 months and can now effectively escape from it. Moved him to a camp cot in the interim and will slowly transition him to his toddler bed. Although this escape artist nonsense also meant an early morning trip to emergency room on Friday night/Saturday morning.
Very true, it always feels a little condescending to tell people that they can't understand until they've been through it, but you really can't. If you listen to parents complain, you would think it's the worst thing in the world, but ask them if they could go back in time and not have their kids, and they would be horrified at the idea. It would be like taking away a part of yourself.
Eish, we still have ours in a camp cot, and he can probably climb out if he tries hard, we have a toddler bed for him, but I don't know how we will be able to get him to stay put in a bed though. Bed time is a mission already and he likes to do hand stands and somersaults in his cot and jumping on beds, so I worry about him falling out.
Probably because the camp cots have soft sides so there's nothing to get a leg up onHe seems to be unable to get out of the camp cot for some reason, but the sleigh cot he just pulls himself over the edge, pops a leg over and then plonks over the top.

Ya this winter has been a killer. And we keep getting sick as well. I'm hoping that I'm feeling so lousy because I'm just tired, but I think I'm coming down with something again.did any of you notice your kids getting continually sick when they started at creche ? my little guy is sick again![]()
