Parental Corner

I can imagine that's hectic. In the last week, mine has figured out how to pull himself up on stuff to stand up. That's already making me freak out a bit.

Oh, and he is 8 months old today :-)

Congrats, and time flies by way too quickly. Feels like yesterday that we went to hospital just for a check-up and came back with a bouncing baby boy... little bugger turned 3 in December.

Mine has been taking swim lessons from 6 months or so. He just loves it and swims a 12m pool length by himself. The new parents look like they about ready to jump in the water when they see it for the first time. The instructor says the naughty kids learn to swim the fastest (think I should read between the lines here).

That's awesome man. Makes me think I should take my boy for swimming lessons now, he LOVES swimming but I wouldn't have thought about taking him for lessons so young.

Most places take babies from 6 months, I checked now, ours started in August when they re-open after the winter, so he was 8 months, not 6. He swims twice a week, August to April. They close during winter, don't want the little ones getting sick I suppose.

Got a few tyres to go along with the jungle gym, and this weekend he has discovered he can sit inside while I roll it. Helps keep me looking young haha.

i also have 2 boys and they are some very busy bodies, will post a pic of them when i get home. one is 8 and one is 5

Damn dude, your boys are big already. Weren't you just posting a birth announcement like just the other day? My sense of time is a little skewed lately.

Lol, no the other day was almost 2.5 years ago....but with kids time seems to fly even faster!

It does hey! I feel like I'm in a weird time warp lately, these last 8 months since my son was born have just cruised past so fast I can't even believe it sometimes.

That can also be attributed to a lack of quality sleep. I don't think I've slept through for the last 5 years :(

Ya sleep deprivation is a killer, at least my kid is sleeping through till 6 or 7 most nights now, although I have to get up a few times to put a dummy back in and give him his snuggle bunny, he usually goes right back to sleep. It's not like it was before when you're up for an hour or two a few times every night. Although he woke up very upset about something at about 5 this morning.

We've been lucky regarding that. Our son has slept through from an early age. Do get your occasional night where he is restless, but for the most, he's been good. Expecting our second though, a baby girl, due in May. Looking at shotgun prices...

These are my 2 boys

My little girl went to grade 2 this year. Yesterday, after the first day of the new school year, she tells me confidentially: "I like grade 2. We didn't get any homework and we didn't do any sums."

Wow rough night, little guy started throwing up in the middle of the night. My first experience with projectile vomit.

I think it may be because he's teething, his second tooth is on its way at the moment.
