PC parts which cost more than a PS4, TV, and game collection

Lol at the Romany creams! :D

We can still build a PC for R14k or less though, but won't be as "future-proof" as the expensive parts. And doubt those cheap parts will play all the latest games 5 - 8 years from now

Oh, Kevin. Are you trolling the Master Race again?

We'll not forget this, Kevin.

(If I wanted to be pedantic I would point out that the PS4 also comes without a monitor, and requires a subscription to PlayStation Plus to be able to play online multiplayer at all. If I were pedantic.)

Well looking at the farcry 4 specs, their minimum is a gtx 460. Considering it was released 4 and half years ago and it's not a high end card I think it's safe to say that this hardware should last.

Haha comparing a PS4 to the most absurdly expensive components you could find. Me smells some bias. :p

Its true that consoles are a hellva lot cheaper... and i play both console and PC... but i just prefer PC... just because...

Realistically - who's going to buy such expensive parts for their PC; not unless they REALLY need it.
It is expensive though, very expensive.

64GBs of RAM.

For a server, I can understand needing to have so much RAM, but a gaming PC... meh, not necessary.

Yep. Streamers that want to play on max settings while streaming, and video editors come to mind. Some gave devs also probably need gear like this.

So, in spite of its cost comparison the PS4, it's actually proof of how much greater the Master Race can be than its console "peasant"; at the cost of being a lot harder on one's pocket.... ;)

You can stream to Twitch from the PS4 just fine without any super-expensive gear ;)

But if you want to edit your game video (decently) before uploading it to YouTube then you're running back to a PC.

So, not really much of a "rock and a hard place". Comes down to preference and need then?
