Project Cars

I have been reading that people say it plays alot like fm5 with a controller.I hope it is true but I will wait for proper impressions. The game looks great.I like that they are going for a motorsport feel with a proper penalty flag system.

I see that the price for the game on the Xbox store front is R645, which is more than R150 less than Takealot has it at R799. The problem is the download will take a huge amount. So either I save R150 and have to sit with the download, or pay the extra bit and have the game on disc with probably only a small day-one download.

NeoGaf forums are abuzz with bugs and bugs and there is a very strong likelihood there will be a day one patch.

This is unsurprising. Pretty much all new titles lately have some day one patch, they just differ in size.

I still think the rain effects are stupid. Driveclub has the best rain/water effects I have seen in any game, DiRT Rally is getting there too. But I think even Gran Turismo 5 trumps the effects in Project CARS.

just my 2c

I'm also keen for this now. But man it costs a lot of money. Will see what you guys think of it first.

Pre-ordered mine this morning for PS4. I hope that this can replace Forza for me now that I have moved over to the darkside.

Nope Beo there i have to argue with you there is no game that will come close to the weather dynamic that Project cars will offer us
wait till you play the game and then give a verdict, as for bugs i think some people are getting ahead of themselves. A lot of testing has gone into this from the comunity

As for pre order mine is paid in full just have to go pick it up :D

Don't get me wrong, in terms of dynamic weather I agree with you on how the weather will change dynamically, I have no doubt it'll be great. The point I'm trying to get at is more the physics of the water, like on the windscreen. The water doesn't pull back on the wiper once brushed to the side. The bundle of water doesn't move respectively with the wind that is pushing it along the body or windscreen of the car. That's what I'm trying to get at.

I still have no doubt this game is gonna be brilliant, this is just something I notice and look for. The small details.

Pre-load available on Steam now. Timer to going live looks like it'll launch around 1AM here, so it'll have to wait until after work tomorrow :(

Thing is Beo have you played any of the latest builds and i read on their FB page that they will always be evolving project cars because it's such a huge community based and funded project and they are also working to get more car brands in along with more tracks. so Hold on for the final product maybe something changed
