Project Cars

Well I'm using my Xbone controller at the moment and I'm enjoying it. The feel you get through the triggers is awesome. Took an or so of tweaking to get my setup right.

I see theres an update for the PS4 version thats just over 800MB.

Downloaded my free car and livery pack. 1.1MB each.

... One thing I do despise though is the blurring while in Helmet Cam (headcam), has anyone found an option to disable this?
Don't know if you worked this out yet Beo, but in case you didn't, and for others - myself included - who are bugged by the helmet can blur effects:

Options & Help > Camera > Movement Tab > Helmet Depth of Field setting is the one you want to reduce. Much better without the blur.

Having played it now I can say you really need to tweak your controller settings alsp if you finding it to hard just enable traction control and abs.

assume you're playing on console?
I haven't really noticed any bugs on PC, sometimes I'll get a visual cue from my "manager" and wonder if there should have been audio/verbal cue. Other than that, try tweaking your individual sound settings, lower your engine and SFX volumes to increase the sound of tyre squeal.

Morning guys,

I just want to know, how many of you bought the PC version?

Myself and another local player gave my dserver a test run last night and we had a blast with some AI racers, zero lag and it was very stable. I know I have Eugene on my Steam friends list already.

I just want to suggest that you guys ensure that your Download region is set to "Johannesburg - South Africa" otherwise you want find the lobby whenever we host a session on the dserver. Keep in mind that the dservers don't list in the game browser yet, however, using the steps that I have posted previously, you can create your own session on the dserver for others to join locally :)

Anyhow, I set up the following Steam group for anyone that's keen to do some racing and to help us coordinate some races:

I will have to do that I am playing the pc version.I found a bug that gives you an advantage if you doing a race and you have your tyres heated up just restart and your tyres will be at that same heat level.I dont know if it happens all the time but it does happen.

Your tires should be "green" when on the starting grid on race day due to tire blankets. On practice and qualifying, it should start you on cold.

I have been playing the kart championship and sometimes I start with cold tyres then I crash and restart the event my tyres are green.

Respect, thanks and rep for StoneCold - hope to be able to join in the online fun soon!

I must say that once the handling clicks with you it is awesome.I did a race in the historic m1 cup with the bmw at laguna seca in the rain an managed second.

Going to try setup an online session on StoneCold 's server late tonight if anyone's keen. Will only be around 10pm if Kid Redd's school concert finishes on time. Obviously anyone else can start the session earlier and I'll happily jump in when I can.

Any circuit or series preferences?
And what AI level do you use while playing?

I would be keen to race, but I don't get time for anything lately.
As far as AI is concerned, I think 75% is the happy medium.

Hi GregRedd,

10pm sounds good. I'll swing round and join in for a race or two, 5-7 laps. I love the GT cars (MP4-12C is my favourite :D).

Seeing that it's my birthday today, you need to let me win one race at least :)

Circuit wise, I dig Hockenheim GP, but it doesn't really matter that much. As long as there are straights for speed, I'll be a happy man. AI wise, I added 75% AI the other evening when myself and another person raced and they were quite competitive, I can tell you that.
