PS4 - Game Questions

Bought myself a 2nd hand Vita with a few games for R1500, PS4 remote play is NOT that great really. Basically just streams the display to the Vita.

What else did you expect from remote play? That's exactly what it's supposed to do. It's great for playing PS4 games in bed and you can also use the Vita as a second controller if you don't have one. It might not be the best for all games, but it does the job.

Did not expect anything else from it, luckily didn't buy the Vita for the remote play function anyway. Enjoying some of the exclusives :)
 
Anyone download the media player for PS4 yet?

Edit : Downloaded last night, a 17MB or so download. Tried it and straight of the bat it picked up my network drive. Streaming over wireless worked great, though I did find a file or two that didn't support the audio. Also picked up my flash drive and played files from there without issues.

Good to hear it works well I for one will probably never use it.

I used it once to stream a MKV from my PC via wireless, just to test it out. Works great, but This is a function I will never use on a GAMING console. Only playing games on my console :) My TV can stream and play any media.

Guess it's a good function if you don't have a smart TV or a TV that does not have USB input for media files :)

Yep, that be me. Still got an older 42" that does the job. No USB/network though, so having one device for gaming/streaming works nice :)
 
I keep on watching the Uncharted e3 trailer damn it looks good,all that destruction there is so much going on.Dont watch the new Metal Gear trailer there are huge spoilers in it you have been warned.

Only issue.

No support for embedded subtitles. So Anime is a no go for me.

It looked damn good 2016 is a packed year for Sony.No mans sky looks amazing I love it that you get to name the planets and lifeforms if you are the first to find them.I am so excited for Batman next week cant wait to drive around in the batmobile.
 
Tried out Hohokum before the lights went out. Very interesting little title, reminds me a lot of Journey. If you haven't played it yet, I suggest you do!
 
Planetside 2 is out on ps4 and its f2p.I cant download it because Batman raped my mobile data last night lol.Batman is so awesome the destruction you can cause in your bat tank is so cool.I was not expecting such an awesome damage model.

If I got it right the PS+ edition is basically a trial version of the full game. Most likely less cars/courses available until you buy the full game. Quite a big download though. I have tried the game at a friend who has the full version and must say it looks and plays very nice. I'm not the biggest racing fan and I was tempted enough to buy the game. Think I will try this a bit more, and if I think it's worthwhile I'd go for the upgrade.
