Rate the Last Game You Played

Before Terraria I've never played a game like this before. I still have to try Minecraft one day but Wyvern and so really made me interested in giving Terraria a try.

I'm glad I did. I found myself addicted to it for a while but in the end I got bored. I still managed to get 20 hours out of it though. It really is fun and in my opinion it's a must try game. I wish there were more clear cut objectives though which is something I believe Starbound has. Now that makes me excited!

You should seriously look into playing minecraft. I started playing it on xbox this weekend and my wife is getting worried I want to marry it.

I am playing Dark Souls 2 and i would honestly give it a 10/10. This is not a rating that I would give to any other game (including Dark Souls). The next best game i reckon i have played would be Tomb Raider and Bioshock Infinite, which would get 8/10.

To put it into perspective :
as much as i LOVED Tomb Raider and BI, after about 12 hours i was starting to get tired and bored and looking forward to wrapping up the game. But with DS2, I have been playing for 40 hours and have ZERO fatigue! happily looking forward to at least another 100+ hours ahead :)

InFamous 2 - 8/10

The game looked gorgeous (Better than Killzone), the powers were amazing and the story really opened up during the game's 2nd act. The game was just too short for me. But I seriously did enjoy, it's infinitely better than IF1&2 as I didn't enjoy them at all.

Papo & Yo - I really loved the creativeness of this indie title, it really makes you feel like a child as you explore and solve puzzles in an imaginative world. What I didn't expect was the serious, and at times disturbing message behind the game. Never before have I cringed so much when violence occurred in a game - it was brutal and shocking - not because of what was depicted in the game but because of what it represented - a chilling tale of a boy surviving the brutality of his alcoholic father.

Verdict: A worthwhile experience that will remain with you long after the few hours playtime.

My last game i've just played is Doom: The Resurrection of Evil. I rated 8 out of 10. Its graphics look awesome and great, its gameplay is amazing, its weapons are insanely great, pretty much everything about this game is just AWESOME!!

The last game that I played:

GTA V [PS3]

I know that it has been said time and time again, but I fully understand why this game received so many game of the year awards. It is the best open-world game that I have ever played, and is close to the top of my list games of best games overall. The complete, polished freedom that you experience while playing the game is unparalleled. The story is fantastic, though it requires plenty of suspension of disbelief which feels quite jarring in the midst of the brilliantly believable world. Some mechanics still feel a bit clunky, like the cover system for example, but that's the biggest complaint that I can level at the game.

Rating: 9.5/10

Would play again (probably will).

Dark Souls 2 10/10 an epic journey.Bigger and badder than Dark Souls what more can you ask for.

Couldn't agree more. I really liked Dark Souls. But I'm really LOVING Dark Souls 2!

yep! I go with that too, that game mad me dream the most epic stuff too haha

Oh man, I couldn't agree with you guys any more, and may I just say, really nice to see a response like this from so many peeps =D

Managed to complete 3 games this long weekend. Enjoyed my much needed game-time:

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance (PC)

Had low hopes for this as I'm not a big hack/slash fan, but am a huge MGS fan so decided to finally dive in as it's been gathering dust for a while. Was pleasantly surprised. The combat was awesome, boss fights were epic and the game was just short enough to not become stale. I'd give it 8/10 based purely on enjoyment.

Papo & Yo (PC)

Heard good things about this one so had high hopes... which unfortunately for me were not met. The gameplay was unique and I enjoyed the puzzles and platforming, but the story didn't draw me in as it did other folk. I feel like it wasn't fleshed out enough so I couldn't get emotionally connected to the characters and the sensitive subject material. Overall a very good and unique effort from an indie developer. 7/10

Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse (Dolphin Emulator)

Imported this one from Japan years ago as I'm a huge fan of the criminally underrated franchise but never got around to playing it. Unfortunately this one never made its way to English territories but thanks to some awesome fans you are able to patch the game so that all text is in English. As it released quite a while back already (2010 I think) the gameplay is reminiscent of the PS2 era where the horror genre was a lot slower-paced. Enjoyed the improvements to the gameplay but overall it did feel very dated, and the storyline was a bit of a mess in my opinion. No sequel has so far surpassed the awesome 2nd game. I'll say it was about a 7/10 for me.

nice! Aren't there any friends of yours that play it too neither? in my circle of friends I only know one more :D

Nope, I have one mate at work who also plays it religiously. Actually playing as I type this.
Trying to get more people at work into it. They speak of it like they know, cos they saw the reviews and Yahtzee reviews, but they have no idea how truly epic this game is.

The last impressive game i played was "Doom: Resurrection of Evil" on classic Xbox. I gave it 9 out of 10 because this game is just awesome!! The graphics, the gameplay and the weapons, everything is just perfect!!

Dragon Age 2

When I first started the game up I was angry because the fighting system was so much different to Dragon Age Origins. It grew on me though and I quickly started loving it. It's not the same as the first game. The fighting is different and even the equipping of characters have been dumbed down.

However I still loved it. The characters were all great and the story was well thought out. I loved the ending especially and I can't wait for the next game!

Oh one thing that may make a lot of people not like DA2 is that areas are reused extensively. In fact more so than any other game I've ever played. There's a set amount of areas and the whole game takes place in it. I managed to get 44 hours out of DA2 so that's a lot of looking at the same graphics.

The story is great though. Not as epic as the first game but still great.

Deus ex: Human Revolution (PS3)

The graphics were kind of difficult to look at for a 2012 game, other than that it was a pretty great experience.

8/10

Binary Domain

One of the hidden gems in the third person shooter genre.
Let's get the bad out of the way quickly: your squad AI is dumb.
They WILL run in front of you while you are shooting, then complain about it.

Now with that out of the way, onto the good stuff.
- Loads of robot shooting action. All the way from giant transformer like robots to agile androids.
- The characters are really bought to life through the dialogues.
- Some humorous conversation to give you a break from all the action
- Voice command. Yes, you can scream into your mic to let your AI team-mates know that they suck and they will react.
- Very good story. Somewhat fast and furious like, but one plot twist makes you begin to wonder things.

8.8/10

**The final score may be slightly bias due to the existence of cool-looking giant robots.

Assassin's Creed III - 7/10
Game started of really slow, then it got interesting at the twist at the end of sequence 4 and then it started feeling quite long. I actually preferred the combat from the earlier games. Struggled getting into it with this one. Graphics was quite the upgrade from the previous games if I'm not mistaken. All in all, not a bad game. Worth at least a playthrough.
Would be interesting to see how AC4 continues on this ending. Kinda felt like the ME3's ending with how everything changed.

MGS 2: Sons of Liberty (PS2) 8.5/10

Awesome gameplay, overly preachy but okay story, great voice acting, epic long cut scenes..
