Recording BF3

Make sure "Lock framerate" is off (obvious but I thought I'd mention it incase)
Also try recording at a higher fps then, as I mentioned in a previous post, I think it records in multiples.

What fps do you get on average?

And btw you have to set the affinity every time you start fraps.

Not sure why it repeated half way through without any sound.

Well its more like 5min-some-change because for some odd reason youtube repeated the upload with no sound, check the last half. Weird.

On a side note

Deadmonkey, great choice of gun, An94, my fav Assault gun, most advanced gun in the game, burst fire unlike anything else, what i do love is its ability to drop a sniper in two or three burst without them getting a chance to shoot you....and burst close range, what a beast!
 
Haha yes, its got the best of both worlds. My favorite too. Only every now and then I lose out at close range but that would be mostly because I'll miss the headshot.
 
Also a fan of the m16a3... i just get annoyed when it selects the other gun every now and then.

I also like the f2000... brilliant close to med but not so hot on long distance.


2-pass is much better and i would recommend it when encoding. Mkv is also a much better container with h.264

I can't use the F-2000 because when I put any sight on it, there's some fucked up ADS stutter and I can't play like that.

since the previous patch, the made the burst VERY effective as it should be, most people think the burst is kak because other guns that burst are not very good....

Not sure on this but as far as I know the burst is at 900 rpm and the full auto is at 600 rpm. So basically the best way to use the gun is on full auto: tap tap tap for long range, and hold it down for close range :D
