Reddit Secret Santa 2014

I saw that quite a few people were disappointed last year.

We can definitely hold a MyGaming Steam Secret Santa a bit closer to Christmas though. We did it once but it happened too early so people bought stuff before the Christmas sale actually started.

Yeah i'll join a local one and if we decide to do it what should limit be like R200?
 
I didnt get anything but caboose and Insanity did as far as I remember.

I think a secret santa via mygaming would be an awesome idea.
 
Ok start thinking on how we can do it so its anonymous - @Mygaming admin to run it so we dont know who we are paired up with?
 
I'm happy to help you guys run this. I've become quite good at generating random numbers recently ;D.

Let me know what rules you want to run it according to and how the pairings should work.

Also create a new thread for MyGaming Secret Santa (or I can change the name of this thread, whichever you prefer).
 
I think just change this one

The rules should be easy - you randomly pair up everyone who posts in this thread and says Aye! We then have a R200 limit, I would say we make it that its a posted something - so people who enter will have to give postal addies and we just do this? What else can you lot think of?
 
I'd prefer a Steam game again over something posted but I suppose something posted does make it more traditional.

We should maybe only keep it open to regular posters because otherwise we may get a few people who take chances.

And then also agree with it the only long standing members - how do we determine that tho?

Maybe just you and me. :D It'll be nice and easy and Jan won't have to work so hard with the random number generator. It should take less than an hour even.

Hehe on a more serious note, maybe people with more than 200 posts who have been active recently. Or what do you guys think?

Or Ike's 500 post limit also sounds good. It's a nice way to reward members who contribute to the forum.
 
May I propose the following:

We have a Mygaming Steam Community group with 101 members in it. All (or more than 90%) of all these members are quite active and all are part of the Steam Gifts already. We can use that list of members as the basic list. Anyone that would like to enter must meat the same criteria as per the Steam Community group to enter, which Eugene and Wyvern has control over.
