Reduce Skyrim’s system requirements without making it look terrible

Its probably nice for guys who can't afford to upgrade their pc's but personally I wouldn't want to reduce the gfx of this game. Its not like the gfx was mind blowing to begin with. It's an improvement, sure, but still not that great.

I'll test this out tonight, I have a 1.8celeron, geforce 8500gt and 2gb ram (I'm open to donations btw >_>)

I tried to download the 200mb texture pack last night but gets to 5% every time and then times out on all the links. Anyone manage to dl this?

kolaval, when i went onto the site there were 2 files to download, 1 was a readme the other is a 200mb texture pack, as per my above comment it keeps timing out, was your dl also around 200mb?

I downloaded it without any problems, although the download speed was quite shoddy :? only a mere 20kb's :(
Anyway, testing this all out now.

cool, ill give it a go again tonight, maybe ill try another ISP. Hope it works nice cos i got a 2nd PC which is barely running the game and draw distance is terrible so hoping this will help a bit. Let me know if it helps at all on your current rig:)

That said it seems awfully like morrowind to me, just different quests etc, and of course dragons
Morrowind was the first game I owned that had nice "water"
, but I had to turn it off at that time since my graphics was inadequate.
