RIFT : Planes of Telara

Cool to see they trying to make our accounts more secure and the fight against those darn spammers. Must say, I've only seen about 2 spam messages in chat, maybe I'm just on shard the spammers don't really care for.

One thing I find positively awesome about this game is that you can add your Twitter account in the In-Game settings to tweet your chiefmince with screenies as they happen.

Yeah ... I know the patches aren't really huge - but they're coming thick and fast, and after that 1.2GB download after install I'm already nursing my bandwidth along. That's why you guys aren't seeing me on much at the moment.

Uncapped dude, it will change your life! :D

I know how you feel shadow <3

Using 3G it can cost me an arm and a leg whenever devs go crazy on patching. It is understandable, and I will not complain since it makes sense (unless they are consistently dropping gigs every week), but hell, it sure does add up!

Since I refuse to go on contract (have had issues in the past, and nice to jump from around as signal dictates), it costs me quite a bit to get my MMO on. Luckily I have a good friend with uncapped willing to download anything for me, and promptly I might add. Got the digital version of this game for review and he hooked me up even though he had zero inclination to play the game.

Hopefully Trion will slow down as they iron out any specific issues. Believe it or not, during Early Start, they were patching EVERY DAY, at least now it is only like twice a week.

The speed of the patches being released is a very good thing though, showing how tentative they are about their game. If it stays like this, I'll be very impressed. Leveling an assassin on a pvp server at the moment.

I think I will head on over to MissM this weekend and test out this title... perhaps get myself an account then as well... if its just THAT good. :)

21 Assassin and 31 Warrior so far. Assassin is definitely easier to solo from what I've found.

My lvl 8 Paladin/Reaver/Voidy Warrior is much more streamline than my Ranger/Bard/Blade Dancer Rogue :/ ... I'm guessing it's because Blade dancing doesn't really fit in there - I should've opted for a 'sin spec instead.

at least you can play around with it later on and change it.

I'm looking to do something new with my mage, 2 roles are set up for her, but want to test out the war/arch or necro roles.
mage has dinged lvl 30 and cleric is sitting at 16.

Hotfix:

Hotfix #8 - 3/18/11

SECURITY
* Characters cannot be deleted while an account is Coin Locked.
* Characters cannot accept CoD mail if they are coin locked.
* Decreased the cooldown between requests to re-send Coin Lock key emails.
* Logging into an account with an existing connection will now force the connected account to fully exit the game.

GENERAL
* We now correctly refund your money in edge cases where you bid on an auction while it is no longer available.
* Being feared should no longer allow you to be scared right through solid objects or underground!
* Reduced Plaque of Achievement rewards from second-tier Expert Dungeon quests to 4 per completion.

ZONES
* Fixed a bug involving zone event Wardstone targets being destroyed by NPCs just before an event begins.
* The Battle for Port Scion, Whitefall Steppes: Using Riftstalker's Flashback will cause you to drop the Sourcestone.
* The Battle for Port Scion: Stealth abilities now cause you to drop any carried Sourcestone.

Still very impressed with the speed they are patching. What I am hoping for the most at the moment is an appearance tab like in DC Universe. A dev hinted at it being added later so there is hope.

Considering that this game has a lot in common with LOTRO - and in lotro you had 2 appearance tabs - it may not be so far fetched.

This is getting old fast.

Just did the 45MB update. Log into the game to be told some files are corrupt and I have to run a recovery. Recovery is now pulling a 450MB file. >_<

seems your installation is borked somehow. on the 4 pc's i've installed the beta up too release had no such issue, something else must be at play...

The game ran fine last night. It's only now since the latest patch that it's giving me grief. Also keep in mind my installation stems from the boxed copy and not the steam DL.

Cheers for inv Humility

Hope you come right Voicy, eish that's terrible man. I'll look around if I can find any possible solutions for you.
