Yeah, I saw the project lead being handed over. I saw that statement. I sighed.SW:TOR - with Bioware saying that they're pretty much sticking to WoW's formula for success ... I wouldn't get my hopes up if I were you.
Will have to wait and see...
Sad, true, and currently happening. They are indeed making a massive effort of fixing the game. A LOT of engine changes as well as surface changes has been going on. It's still nowhere NEAR the mark it needs to be, but its definitely getting closer to it.FFXIV - may as well forget - they would need to rebuild the entire game from the ground up.
I'm just not willing to invest in it again until that time comes.
You're 500% right on that. The most innovative and different of the lot. Haven't been following it as well as I could, again correct.GW2 - you're obviously not following it very well ... or you would see that they're taking a massively different approach to anything any MMO has ever done before. Kinda, y'know - fresh.
Something about it - cant place my finger on it - just doesn't sync with me.
Yes, I played 2 of the Beta events. Don't get me wrong. The game is not bad. Its good.As far as RIFT goes - people have been saying that it has a blend of WoW and Aion - I'm inclined to agree ... but if that puts you off at least remember that there's a new storyline to play through, new quests to do, and a new system dynamic - so you can't call it a clone of either.
Have you actually spent time playing the game? If not, then the "it's WoW with pretty graphics" argument doesn't really wash.
It's just TOO familiar. I already felt bored around halfway through event 2.
The accessibility I talk of is the winning formula that I hope more companies go with. Not the one where everything is so easy that a toddler can do it... No.WoW - as you say, is accessible. The problem with massive accessibility is the fact that every idiot who thinks his opinion is worth something can now play and make stupid comments about how they could have developed Factor A or Feature B in a better way, except ... funny thing is - they never do. They just sit behind their screens and whine and fail to be true and proper gamers.
I mean the accessibility that no matter if your play session is 30mins long or 7 hours long, there are activities available for either style.
Think back to MMO's pre-WoW... there was NOTHING you could do in 30 mins.
Even in FFXIV, as accessible as they tried to make it, the list of short activities was very very limited.
I like my content challenging as well, but something can still be challenging without it taking 40 minutes just in travel time...
Thank you sir. Is the cheese refundable?Have some cheese to go with your whine.
Sharing thoughts =/= whine, fyi.
