RPG Nerds Lend Me Your Ears!

Not having faced one I can say. Will let you know when I do. Most trolls don't even get a chance to touche me. Blink + range of chakrams + full power Mark of Flame, Icebolder Hurler & Lightning bold and that hight mana regen rate means not only can I do massive damage from a distance with the chakrams I can also spam special attacks. But I'll let you know when I face one. :p

The final area you go to only has prismere trolls.. So yeah.. Good luck with that:p :)

That is the feared troll? Took that down in one try before I had any of my epic gear. Fateshifted when its health was about half and finished it off getting a crap load of XP. Thoughts, non-boss, fight I've had was against 5 or 6 Ettin & that was almost 10 levels ago.

That's the first one you get, which I assume is easier than the ones you'll get later in the game. I haven't gotten that far yet, as I just entered Detyre.

Ettins and Jottuns don't get staggered easily, which makes interrupting their attacks a pain. Charging Jottuns is annoying, moreso when you have to fight several of them. I did find that dodging diagonally forward when they get close with a charge works well, because they can't change their direction fast enough.

I do hate Threshes. They are not too difficult to kill, but all of their attacks are spammable, so it's tricky to get close enough to them if you are heavy into melee.

Finally decided to buy this Saturday, got it for R350 at Musica after being told it's sold out at most stores.
Just got past the demo parts of the game so now it really starts for me.

I'm only lvl 26 so far and I dunno if this has been mentioned before or goes without saying, but just as a tip:
- If you were unable to buy certain points from trainers when you first met them, when and if you reset your destiny you can go back and buy those extra points. When you reset your destiny, you only get refunded the points you've acquired via lvl'n and obviously NOT book or bought SP

So far, I've only met 2 trainers for some skills (eg. there's a Detect hidden trainer in Gohart and one in Ysa, BS trainers at Shieldring Keep and Ysa and a few others). You can't train more than once at the same trainer but you can per skill

Also, I'm unsure how many trainers there are per skill and they can train you up to lvl 4 of a skill (will only train you if you have 0 - 3 SP already), so if there are 4 trainers, it would be wise to keep the SP books you've found until you've bought all 4 points first.
Someone who's completed can let us know if there are 4 trainers per skill or not. If not, then I guess it doesn't matter when you use the books. There's also your starting points to take into account. So if you found a book for skill you started with some points in, hold onto it.

If this is incorrect or too basic too mention or even if it is explained somewhere game, please rectify me. It just may help someone else.

I've actually looked up trainers in one of the guide yesterday.

There are 4 trainers per skill. 2 are for 0-3, 1 is for 4-6 and one for 7-9. If you play it right, with max level 40, using all the trainers and all of the skill books, you can get a total of 88 skill points, which is short two from the maximum of 90.

You need even less if you go Might/Finesse/Sorc, as you get 1-3 skill points in every skill depending on the tier.

so after about 75 hours of KoA i cant find any more quests to do.. well apart from the tasks that never end.. :) but i do have one thing to show for it... 100% baby! :p

Are you suggesting that Keepa is in fact a ZOMBIE!!! For how do you kill that which has no life?

Just finished the main quest at 62 hours played. Going to play with a different character now and see how far I get before I lose interest. I'm hoping it can keep me busy untill the end of March when I finally get my hands on Twisted Metal. I will not be getting Mass Effect 3 straight away, will get to that after I finish the Witcher 2 on X360 at least twice.

Have any of you completed the "the secret of the fae pools" quest? It's the one where you must expirement with the different coloured stones (red, blue, purple) and the urns. In the journal by the dead body it says, in a way, that success is achieved by summoning a friendly boggart. I've managed to do this and even found the fourth green stone, which is made mention of in a book you pick as well, and no change in quest directive. So basically I've tried (almost) all combinations I could think of before getting frustrated and still had no luck in getting the quest pass "Experiment with the urns". If anyone has had better luck and completed it, please let me know

You can't complete that quest, because it's a task. It stays in your quest log. If your boggart ever dies, you just go back and summon another.

Also scratched my head for a long while until someone explained to me why the quest didn't update after I'd summoned the boggart.
