Ha I reached the limit at Telegraph. Have been visiting it every day since the tournament started.

Did you guys see all the media sites with:
1. The top players of the pool stages. What a load of tripe! Lood de Jager doesn't feature in any of them. In fact South Africa is completely absent, except for Bismarck in one of them and Kriel in another. I'm not sure that these people watched any games. Plus if you look at the stats South Africans are leading or part of the leaders in almost all the stats. De Allende has the most defenders beaten. Habana the most clean breaks and joint leader in tries scored. De Jager is one of the top defenders. Burger one of the most carries. And so forth.

2. The favourites for the tournament. South Africa is completely ignored on the multiple sites that I visited. In fact a lot of sites feel that Wales will beat South Africa. South Africa didn't have a great year but they seem to forget that we lost the games against the All Blacks and Australia in the final moments of the game and back then we were still trying to play with people like Oupa. That yes we lost to Argentina but then destroyed them in their own backyard.

I've got a feeling the Bokke may just do it. It's going to be a tough road but go Bokke!

Good, let them underestimate the Boks. Let them think they can easily come and beat us. It's good motivation for a team to be treated like the underdogs, because they have something to prove on the day, and they end up playing even better. They'll be singing a different tune next week this time
 
Well if we can beat NZ in the semi if france doesn't upset them then we can win this WC i'm sure of it but i would like if the aussies and nz can both loose cos not only does Aus have a deadly back-line now they have pck that can scrum all of a sudden too:p

I have no real complaints other than Fourie Du Preez, but it still beats having Ruan Pienaar in the starting lineup
 
That's probably the current best team we can pick for the RWC. I'm glad both Lood and Eben is back as the lock pair. Should be a strong enough team to beat the Welsh senseless.
 
i would have liked to see Bismarck come off the bench as well... but thats just cause i dont want the du plessis bros to give away any penalties unnecessarily.

i honestly dont think Wales will be able to beat us on saturday, they never looked like they were going to score against the aussies even with them only having 13 players on the field.
 
TBH nothing wrong with fourie imo, hes a good leader and the game against wales will show his captaincy skills really. and ig he can pull that off and have a cracker game i'd give it to him cos he's been good to SA rugby
 
Unbelievable! Argentina knocks out Ireland. Now if Australia wins it won't be the Rugby World Cup anymore. It'll be the Rugby Championship!
 
i Really feel for Scotland, they should have won against Aus. Craig Joubert made a very bad error in not referring that last decision to the TMO.

Saturday will be yet another nerve racking game for us against NZ and i think if we can slow the ball down we can definitely beat them. i hope Argentina beat Australia cause i kust dont want SA to face them in the finals
 
Everyone thought the Rugby Championship this year was made shorter for the RWC. It wasn't, it was just placed on hold to be finished in Londen on neutral ground...

Also, I hear there is a new 5th position play-off tournament for the RWC; it's called the Six Nations....

Think about this as well, Japan is the only team outside of the Rugby Championship that could beat one of that tournaments participants....



All jokes aside, this weekend was probably the best weekend of Rugby I've ever seen. We first had a nerve wrecking match with Wales, and I really nearly passed out during that game. I screamed so loud with that try that I got light headed and nearly fell over.

New Zealand gave a masterclass of rugby, and completely raped the poor French. Never before have I seen a supposedly Tier 1 nation be so humiliated on the field. The All Blacks played the best 80 minutes of rugby ever arguably. But let's be honest, the French never pitched for that game.

Argentina showed that they are indeed a force to be reckoned with by downing Ireland. I've been a big backer or Ireland, and I never even gave Los Pumas a chance. But wow, they played some exceptional rugby, which just shows how much the Rugby Championship has helped them grow their team.

I am deeply sorry for the Scots for loosing that game. They really deserved to win. But, with only seconds on the clock, you HAVE to win your own line-out. Regardless of if that last call was wrong or not, if you want to win the close games, you have to get the basics right. If they just secured their own line-out ball, they would've won. The Aussies proved that their form in the Pool stage may not be as unflappable as we thought, and they will have to play out of their skin if they want to beat Los Pumas this weekend.

Cant say that im unhappy with anyone here, im a huge fan of Willie Le Roux, I just seriously hope he comes to the party... I honestly expected Lambie to start in his place after last weeks game... But i am happy the coach and team have backed him, as he can turn the game in our favor in an instant of brilliance...
