That is true but i was waiting for much better performance because my 4890 is still kicking ass. Beats a 5770 for a older card. The 5850 is also not too much better that it either. so i would have to get a 5970 or 2x 5870 to really see a difference. That is why i am waiting. I also wanted to see what Nvidia was going to come up with. So i will see what the 6000's bring and make a choice. I still think that 2x 5870's or 2x 5970's will kick anything that the 6000's come up with.
5850 is the sweet spot atm...
i'll say this. from my short stint with a 4850 from previously using nothing but Nvidia cards, AMD/ATI is a very good alternative if you don't like seeing green the whole time![]()

and were it not for some unforseen (and weird) incompatibility issues and crashes with it, i probably would've bought a 5870 and not 2 460's.
Why not do the the SLI hack?
on intel ja
on amd cpu's no![]()
it should be about a Gtx260, if you take that the GTX480 is the same as the GTX285 and the GTX470 is the GTX275 etc. But by no means do they have the same performance. The GTX460 is much much better than the GTX260. It even beats the GTX285. Its just such a good card.
Sweet. Seriously considering this one, my GTS250 is hanging in there, but it's wrinkles are starting to show.
Or you could just SLI it?
