S.t.a.l.k.e.r. 2

I think so too yeah, it's a really awesome game. Thing that gets me about it though is how some maps just made me angry. But I did enjoy it a lot and I guess I'll play it again some time and download some nice mods for it... Who's interested in some of the mods available to clear sky?

What can I say... Eish... what exactly is this magazine?

*EDIT*

So I got some news, went searching for the one mod and found it. And then I found some interesting things on the Stalker wikia. So here's the links:

1. S.T.A.L.K.E.R - Unreal Zone is the mod being developed on Unreal's UDK. It's basically stalker for unreal engine.

2. S.T.A.L.K.E.R Wikia, some answers to Stalker 2...

Something else that's interesting, this is a picture of a area that was mentioned in COP, but it never got featured in the game. Think it's one of the new areas in Stalker 2?

I still have to finish clear sky... got stuck in this street with all these transportation anomalies and cars

Cars or busses? If they were busses, then you need to enter one of them to get to the other side and move on, otherwise the anomalies will just teleport you back to where you started. It can be tricky to get into the bus; you shouldn't be too heavily loaded, so you can jump a few times without getting tired. You also need to jump-crouch, or crouch-jump, to fit into the bus' window.

All the effort is worth it though; there's cake on the other side.

Thanks Juice :)

I remember that part, took me a while to get past that and then you go to a place full of pwnage! It's awesome. The only thing that got me about that specific game was the end... I really was let down heavily.

That brings me to a question I've been tempted to ask, what do you guys think the end video in clear sky means?

Don't know. :p

But I am replaying as we speak. I take so long to finish it. First play through took me two months(I liked just wondering and taking in the atmosphere.)

Also Sometimes I would just sit by the fire at night. Strange hey:p

Not strange at all to be honest. Stalker is one of those games where you can do stuff like that, and take in the marvel that is alife. What I like to do is start a new game, and just play around on one map as long as possible (last one is recorded at Military Warehouses @ 3 months) and try and see if anything weird happens. Which happens a lot.
Monolith have taken over most of the military warehouse. And there's a lot of bloodsuckers running around.

Spoiler alert...

The story of Clear Sky takes place before Shadow of Chernobyl. In CS you play as Scar and you are tasked with hunting down a man called Strelok, who had found a way to protect himself from the psionic powers which prevented Stalkers from reaching the nuclear power plant, which is where they believed the most valuable artifacts to be located. Your job is to destroy Strelok's psionic shield, which you do, using a special weapon given to you by Lebedev, leader of the Clear Sky faction.

Right after incapacitating Strelok, a massive emission disables everyone around the power plant, including the now-unprotected Strelok. The ending shows Strelok (along with other Stalkers), being brainwashed by the C-Consciousness (a hive-mind consisting of 7 soviet scientists), probably with the aim of making the Stalkers forget about the experiments being conducted in the Zone by said hive-mind. The camera zooms in to reveal the letters S.T.A.L.K.E.R. on Strelok's arm.

At the beginning of SoC, you as the player, are discovered unconscious and suffering from amnesia, with these same letters on your arm and a PDA with the instructions to kill Strelok. During the game you realise that you are Strelok. The hive-mind, thinking that Strelok was not brainwashed (they didn't know his psionic protector was destroyed), accidentally brainwashed and instructed Strelok to hunt and kill...well, himself! Awesome.

Realising that you don't need to hunt yourself, you decide to rather search for the wish-granter which, unbeknownst to you, is another experimental device built by the C-Consciousness. Depending on how you decided to play the game and conduct yourself in the game world, you are presented with 6 or 7 different endings. Call of Pripyat picks up directly after these events and assumes that you decided to disable the wish-granter. Playing as Major Degtyarev, you get to meet Strelok near the end of the game.

Makes sense?

Really hope they decide to include Strelok in one way or another in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2. Maybe Strelok, Scar and Degtyarev will all play a part?

I was reading it and half way through the first paragraph I saw the connection. Damn I feel so stupid for never seeing it at the time. I wonder what kind of story they will think of in stalker 2. Also I have this feeling they'll keep to the current map structure, building 3 or 4 large maps, what makes me think so? Well the fact that you are playing around Chernobyl... But we'll see.

No new news? I did find something this weekend, but can't remember where now. Hopefully I'll have the info on here later today!

Yes please do search your mind for said information. Otherwise you might have to inflict pain upon your person by means of contortion of the body.
