SA TV show The Verge mocks gamers

That guy who was lying there almost had her. He should have rolled on top of her....

That would have given her a fright lol

My favourite bit was right at the beginning when she asked the dude whether his non-gaming wife "tolerates" his gaming.

Pathetic show with a pathetic presenter.

It was a border line show to me, but its like most things today, aimed at the casual market... but they missed them as well.
Watching that just made me hate them, they must get with the times gaming is main stream now just like movies.

I normall enjoy watching theVerge (we dont have much choice) but that video clip is just downright PATHETIC

I haven't watched the show in ages and it's disappointing to see this. I'll always be a fan of Pippa, but this girl, the way she disses gamers is just sad. The worst is that it's on a gaming show. :(

Very very disappointing.

Never seen it
but who cares anyway, its always people who are uneducated and to stupid to understand what it is all about.

en sy is elkgeval lekker deur die poef, dom klein dogtertjie wat dink die son skein uit haar uit

I used to love this show.. I guess it's coz I didn't know any better.. I can't believe they'd do that to their own audience people...

Once again the Verge proves that it is produced by people who like to dabble in games, and not by actual gamers. Many times they get their info wrong or dis games or gaming habits that make gamers what they are. Making fun of genres like fantasy rpgs or the people who play them might seem like the cool thing to do, but it just alienates their core audience. This latest incident just proves this theory. The show in general can be ok , especially when part time host Thomas Gumede was there as he was actually funny at times. Long time host Pippa is just ok as she tries too hard to be funny. The biggest culprit, however, must be host / producer Mohammed Nagdee. He is a douche of note. He is the one who usually makes fun of gamers and games that he doesn't find appealling. Hating on role playing games just because you think it's dorky is not cool. How about having an open mind? Isn't that what good journalism is all about?
