You'd need to render the world twice. Better to just mask the rest of the screen w/ black scope overlay.
Its an issue regardless of how powerful the system is. If you know for certain that no 2x rendering is needed then you can double the render quality of the primary rendering. That isn't usually an issue on most newer system.
Tell if you think I'm wrong.. But when it comes to FPSs shouldn't it be that when you zoom in, using the scope, only the area within the scope is zoomed, and the outer areas of the scope are normal eye-view (So-to-speak) distance?
It's NOT realistic to do the multi image thing!!! No sniper in his right mind would look through his scope and keep the other eye open. It will fuck with his vision and focus and also be highly distracting. So the black around the scope is realistic.
As I said, you don't put your eye right up against the scope, so despite your left eye being shut, you can still see around the edges with your right. (If you are right handed)
I do club shooting and hunting. You put your eye next to it, not on top of it. but so much that you can't see shit otherwise.
Please do that with any calibre from a .308 up, and then take a picture of your black eye and stitches afterwards![]()
Like I said, anything more than 5cm away from the scope and you won't be able to hit a target.

When I was younger Scope meant something entirely different...

Then they invented the interwebz and everybody came to the conclusions actually paying for porn is stupid.
