I wonder if they will reconsider their position when the game is cracked.
 
Yes, because we're all having so much fun playing offline Diablo 3.

Calculations are done server-side. You'd need to emulate a server that nobody has access to in order to crack this game.

Not that it matters. Most server issues seem to be fixed and now people are streaming into the game and think it's a pretty good game. I've been monitoring the discussion on the Steam forums and once again, the only people slagging the game off is those who don't own it or have no intention of owning it. :)
 
Morning all, been checking some gameplay from the game yesterday and looks pretty amazing, tbh i have seen some post here which complains alot regarding server problems, i work with servers myself on a daily basis and i know how they feel, and i don't care about that if you gonna deny someone buying the game for that.

I am about to head out to buy the game is it worth it?

I bought it yesterday and I would say yes it is worth it. I actually had very minimal problems playing yesterday, it can only get better.

Come join my region if you get it in EU West 4, it's called Banana Republic :P

Great! Was waiting for a positive reply, on my way then to guy buy it "fingers cross" hope they have stock, and i'll join on EU West 4 then :)

As long as you know what you are getting into.

City size is small, friends list don't work 100% yet, your city stays on one server.
Balance seems to be off when you hit the 100k pop mark.

The game itself is super addictive with a friend, bit boring alone seeing as you need the help from outside towns.

Ignore the people complaining about server issues. It's mostly Wyzak, who doesn't even own the game. Most of the server issues seem to be fixed by now.

The game itself is well worth it. It's not entirely as complex or large-scale as Simcity 4, but the social elements make up for that. You can't find a building of every single type on your city lot, so you have to outsource certain goods and services, which adds a whole new dimension of planning to the game.

As an example, my city is very focused on industry, with the city itself situated on top of a giant oil deposit. Unfortunately, I need high skilled workers for many of my industrial buildings, such as the oil refinery, but most of my workers are unskilled, uneducated lower-class workers, so I get my skilled labor from a neighboring city. It's a really great gameplay mechanic.

If you've got uncapped you can also maybe buy it from Origin. It's the same price as in the shops and the download is pretty small (3.8gb or something like that).

Yeaaa, if i only knew how big the download was yesterday, but i just got it from Musica, and i missed out on the Limited Edition, so now i got the Standard one.
 
You're not missing out on much, tbh. Limited edition only gives you the heroes and villains pack as far as I know, and they've only served to annoy me so far.

Couldn't agree with you more, I don't even use the villain/hero.

Nice though that you can still purchase the separate bundles from the Collectors Edition, might go for that as some point. Something that might actually add to the gameplay.

I'm actually using the hero guy. He helps with crime coverage. This game is super addictive, lost my entire afternoon playing it :D

EDIT: After my update was done by 2PM, i have played since now just to gain a small break.. it's pretty damn addictive.

I'm in your region now. I've got this awesome lot that has two hills with a passage going through them. The one hill is for my industry and the opposite hill is for my residential area. It's awesome.

I have even made my own region called Western Cape [ZA] With city names around Western Cape for the fun :P Currently got myself and my GF on it and another person.
