So, here's what's happened. I haven't heard anything back from the fraud dept, but I had a look at my internet banking now, and it seems that they have removed the offending transactions.


However, there has been another fraudulent transaction to one of the same sites about a week AFTER the account was frozen for the investigation. So I've had to report it again.


Can't wait to close this account

Although the banks have chips on their cards, at this stage it is still optional in SA. Someone at the shop can still swipe it and use it as a normal credit card without the pin.

Yeah its pretty kak atm. They must get rid of the swipe thing asap else there is no point. Or at least let you voluntarily block it.

hmmm maybe I must ask my bank to lower my limit...they were just like heres a bazillion dollars credit. Never use it anyway.
