Slummies' net white elephant?

My brother braved the poorly planned road into Hemingway's Mall for his first visit to the new mall. Judging from his comment ["I would rather fly to Cape Town and go to Canal Walk"] it did not leave a favourable impression.

1) It's a new place that wasn't there before.
2) We didnt pay for it.

Why are you complaining about the place? East LonDONNERS love to complain about every little thing. Yet, when change knocks on the door - they will all jump at the opportunity to knock it down.

East Londoners deserve East London.

Hello Voicy

I'm not the one doing the complaining.
I like having a fair sized new shopping centre half an hour down
the road from me. It gives me more choice.

My brother is the one who was critical of it.

He thinks that it should have been completed and all the shops occupied before it opened. As a driver, he also finds it unnecessarily difficult to get into the centre. According to him, the passages are not wide enough to
conform with safety standards either. He also mentioned that there have been rumours that certain compromises were made during the construction of the centre. I hope that does not come back to haunt us.

I was pleased to see that the idiots who robbed ComOffice were nabbed so soon.

In this day and age that rarely happens :) Earlier occupation means more money for everyone except the customers spending theirs :D
