So who's getting Dark Souls?

Tried and even got one back stab in but his comeback always finishes me off. I dunno if the hit detection is dodgy or what but several times he missed me but I still got the damage. :/ Will take him on again tonight.
 
i took on the belfry gargoyles last night! they whupped my ass the first 2 times around, but at the 3rd attempt i nailed em :-) i must say though, i could not have done it without the summoned sun knight. i am nervous about future bosses i have to face alone :-(
 
I got the game after seeing a demo at rAge expo.

Like everyone else are saying...must be the game I've died the most in an hour...but sure enough a game that you know where you made the mistake to go and try again.

For me it is a must have for any hardcore RPG gamers.
 
Don't know if you guys saw this, but some Japanese guy finished the game in under 90 minutes. That's fucking insane!!! How is that even possible?

Phew, I beat the Knight in the watchtower last night. It took five deaths to learn his moves, after that he's actually not that hard. Undead Asylum is next. :)
 
My journey in Dark Souls has been put on hold until I get ADSL installed at my new house. Who knows how long that will take :(.
 
Want to get this for xbox. Do you need to be connected to the net to play?
 
I bought this today. D: Have to wait until Christmas to get my new Xbox (long story short: the old one died) but I'm scared in advance.

I don't have xbox gold membership.
This game looks like so much fun. Really want a game where it kicks your ass. Been a very long time since I have played a game that is really hard to beat.

Well then get it because without online functionality there is a very good chance u won't even get halfway. This game rejects your idea of hard and substitutes it's own; i.e damn near impossible.

i actually do not believe that you must have a net connection, but then again i am only about 15% into the game. have not yet hit any area where i needed human assistance. the ghostly images never rally helped me and to be honest, i did not really pay attention to the messages scribbled on floor, most of the time it was nonsense.
 
In my opinion being connected to the net while playing adds so much more to the gameplay. You just never know when you might get invaded :D.

Too true and i've found several hidden things that I would have missed completely or avoided enemies that would have gutted me. With the book of shame mechanic I really think the risk of invasion is low.
