I was thinking VAT. Every time you buy something.
... is what I thought you meant.

Primary rebate divided by the lowest marginal rate. That 70k mentioned early sounds about right didn't check it thoughHow much must you earn to be taxed?
No its purely to streamline the admin. If you've got literally nothing except salary then you'll pay exactly the right amount via IRP5/PAYE. Once there is additional income or deductions then you need to file a return (or if you're above that 350k threshold). The prevailing theory is that they have done that so that they don't have to refund people.
lols no - PAYE...pay as you earn.I was thinking VAT. Every time you buy something.
I'm waiting for my R15,700 to be paid back. It's only this high because I didn't receive salary twice this tax year and only half salary 2 other months. Plus I have an RA and income protector fund, which also guarantees rebates each year.
Plus the medical aid if your employer doesn't pay for it. I did my tax return now and am pleasantly surprised.
Are you guys basically saying that medical aid ends up semi free due to taxes? or just discounted...
R257 per month for the taxpayer who paid the medical scheme contributions
R257 per month for the first dependant
R172 per month for each additional dependant(s)
Dammit - how do I find out why they havent paid me yet?
How long have you been waiting? I did mine on Saturday only so I wonder how long they'll take to pay mine.
Well I did mine on the 1st. Still nothing paid.
That is what normally happens to me as well, but nothing yet.

You might have been randomly picked for an audit. Happened to me last year. Have you logged in again since submitting? There will be a notice if you need to submit supporting documents.
