Steam Halloween sale kicks off

Don't forget that its GOTY edition, which bugs me as I have both Fallout 3 and New Vagas and have to pay more just to get the DLC's than the latecomers pay to get everything

Fallout 3 (GOTY) = $4.99 Includes the DLC's
Just all DLC's = $ $5.95 Excludes the game

Go figure...

The thing I hate most about GOTY editions of games, is that they rarely give people who bought the game originally, the option to "upgrade" to the GOTY edition.

Bought Deadlight, but Bioshock and Sleeping Dogs are calling me... I still have not recovered from the Summer and Xmas sale :/

I agree. They should do that 'cause you paid full price for the game. I look at Skyrim for example and those of my friends that bought the game at launch paid R699 for the PS3 version. Now I'm getting the GotY edition for the same price and in some cases even lower. That is not fare towards early adopters.

This is something publishers should address. I think they should have a policy that, once a GotY edition is released, you can trade your original copy in for the GotY edition with a nominal additional fee of let say R199 just to cover costs of distribution, etc.

That is exactly my problem, I can not buy GOTY and add it to my inventory as it tells me I already own said game :(

Dude what you talking about, I have 5 items in my cart and having a serious battle with myself if I should hit cash out or clear out.

Got so many games I haven't played in my backlog, even worse I have some that's not even added to my library yet and I still want to buy more....

These sales are also playing havoc on my financial common sense. I have so many games still to finish but these Steam and PSN specials are just too good to pass by. Grrrrrrrrrr

If I buy another game I will FAIL my Finals for this year, I'm surprised I was able to pick up a book and read through some of my work tonight, and the worst part is that it's English and Social studies.

My wish list is 44+ games long, I have yet to buy ONE of those listed in there. Log into steam to play CS:GO, hey look another sale lets just have a look- OMFG?!! SLEEPING DOGS $4.99 HOLY NUT BALLS!? DEADLIGHT BUY BUY BUY!!~

I get caught every time...

Okay so I bought Fallout GOTY so far... Haven't played any Fallout game so I can't wait to get this going. There's not other game that's really calling me otherwise, so I'll probably be good this sale.

Aliens Colonial Marines was a total flop, would rather go Darksiders 2.

I bought both, and they fixed a lot of the issues with Aliens CM, from what I have seen its not the same game as it was on release day.

Still doesn't help with the fact that I am struggling to pick the right combo of DLC's without breaking the bank. Got $15 to use on DLC's and so far my list looks like:

Sleeping Dogs is still $0.25 more than what I paid for it when it first came out during a summer/winter sale. They accidently had it at 91% off for about 3 minutes. Got in on it just in time :)

Never finished it but it was pretty fun while I was playing it.

Can't see anything that catches my interest tbh. Max Payne 3 maybe kinda...but still too expensive.

Plus I just won Crysis 3 here at mygaming...

Tempted to get Max Payne...even though it's not part of the Halloween sale.
