I'm already paying R500 per month on Smart M, so an extra R290 per month is quite cheap to get a PS4.

Total R22 411 if bought cash vs
Contarct= R18 936 over 12 months
Overall I don't see it as a bad deal, that is if you planning to buy said products. Personally I opted for a Xperia M2, a PC and Prepaid and used the extra cash for other things I need more

Finally some sense, thank you John! I was planning on getting both devices, yes. Was already gearing up for my Z2 upgrade this week when I was made aware of the PS4 bundle deal... The premium for the PS4 above the Z2 on Smart M makes it a steal. Z2 on Smart M is R549 and for an extra R230 per month you effectively get the PS4 for R5520.

I've already bought and flipped a PS4 (Paid R5000 and sold for R6000) I've also seen Z2 phones being sold for R8000, 1 month from now you'll pick it up for R6000. Tons of people buy phones on contract for the purpose of reselling to get some cash, so make them a good offer and you walk away without owing anyone anything. Signing over R19 000 for stuff that's worth a little bit more than half is plain idiotic.
So that's R11 000 vs your estimate of R22 411.

Buy stuff cash when and if possible.

and the countdown on today's daily deals says 30 hours left,

I'm guessing there'll be a big daily sale with all the top sellers from the sale for the last day.
Regarding the community votes, I guess they finished the categories they had set out, although people are complaining that there's just one vote short of 30 which would've given them the 10th card for voting - not too sure if this is an oversight from Valve's part or part of their nefarious plan...
