I still have fond memories of playing Duke1 & 2 side scrollers. They were a hit during the same time as Bio Menace, Commander Keen & Monster Bash.

Did you ever play Crysis (1)????
I did, several times. I knew Crysis 2 wasn't going to be like the first one. It was still a very enjoyable shooter albeit way more limited in scope.
According to new research from a games comparison and marketplace website, ‘Duke Nukem Forever’ has been voted as the ‘most disappointing video game release’ of the past 12 months; beating ‘Dragon Age II’ to the top spot.
It appears that whilst Duke Nukem Forever didn’t set reviewers’ worlds alight, it also failed to impress gamers themselves; with video game fans voting it as the number one ‘most disappointing games release’ of the past 12 months.
The study was conducted by gaming marketplace www.Playr2.com, in order to find out gamers’ opinions towards this year’s video game releases. 1, 671 self confessed gamers took part.
Those taking part in the study were asked, “Which video game releases of the past 12 months were you disappointed by (if any)? Respondents were able to choose multiple games dependent on which titles they felt most disappointed by.
According to the results, the top 10 ‘most disappointing’ video game releases of the past 12 months were as follows:
1) Duke Nukem Forever – 41% (of respondents chose Duke Nukem Forever as one of the last year’s video gaming disappointments)
2) Dragon Age II – 39%
3) Crysis II – 36%
4) LA Noire – 34%
5) Brink – 32%
6) Killzone 3 – 30%
7) Dead Space II – 27%
8) Need for Speed: Shift 2 – 24% 9) Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare- 21%
10) Marvel vs. Capcom 3- Fate of Two Worlds- 18%
Simon Kilby, Founder of Playr2.com, commented on the findings:
“With so many titles released every year, we wanted to look into which had been a hit with gaming fans; and which had failed to impress. Given all the bad reviews that surrounded the release of Duke Nukem Forever, it wasn’t surprising to see it clinch the top spot as the most disappointing game for the past 12 months. I think fans and reviewers alike felt let down by the storyline and graphics, with it failing to impress many.â€
He continued:
“Many game titles have a lot to live up to, particularly if their predecessors have been a hit. Nevertheless, games are continuing to evolve in terms of graphic and features; so expectations are getting higher and higher all the time.â€

Yeah don't agree with this list, why not use metacritic? Dead space 2? wtf it's one of my favourite games of this year. Though i might just have a kak opinion on games.
Percentages cited in the article indicate voter percentages, not review percentages. I'm not sure why this isn't obvious - the context is a user poll report, not review scores.
The voters are morons...
I enjoyed most of those games, except duke and brink.
The voters are morons...
Maybe, but when it comes to sampling theory, a group over 1000 (and this one was 1600-something) is generally considered more than adequately representative of the market. That's just how it works.
