The All Rugby Thread.

I recall a bunch of you WeePee fools saying the same thing last year ......... and we all know how that turned out huh :D Even with our lack of Boks, we'll put WeePee away tomorrow ;)
 
In the end, I just want to watch good rugby. I don't care about teams anymore.

It's difficult to call the first rounds this weekend. The Sharks still have a very good loose trio... and some decent forwards... Deysel is awesome, together with Keegan and Botes - Man! Rory and Stefan in the backline is in excellent form atm.
WP has got some nice changes too, I'm 50/50 with Jack joining them... and Duane Vermeulen not being in the team due to injury is a knock... Luke will have to play a big game ... so will wait and see. I hope Joe Petersen has a good match, he is future bok-material..
Willem de Waal, Peter Grant and Ricky Januarie needs to play a good game too and hopefully Naqelevuki can catch some passes tomorrow!

I expect some interesting games and possibly a few upsets this year.

Griquas beat the Free State, so ye, good start for them. They looked good as well.
 
Chris jack made a big difference with his experience, wonder if this is the year for province although they are notorious for making brilliant starts and then just fading away in the competition, this year might be different.
 
Good first match by WP. They thoroughly deserved the win.

In the end WP loose trio was better and the backline played well too.
Naqelevuki caught the ball after all, and he scored ;)

Jack had a solid game in his first Currie Cup match. I hope we can manage to keep de Waal here, cause his boot is invaluable.

Now for the first Tri Nations match next weekend... hhmm
 
Cant wait for the tri-nations, they say that both the Aussies and NZ are not as strong as previous years, but you can never count them out. I still believe its going to be a closely contested tournament with some hard rugby.
