Great win by them but i think old Div needs to get his act together and take Ruan pienaar off flyhalf as the pressure is too much for him.....if he really want s to use him they must bring him on at the 2nd half as an impact player rather than our kicking flyhalf

It was an awesome game that I enjoyed immensely.

I reckon de Villiers should stick with Ruan Pienaar. Steyn is good but Pienaar can really be great once he get his kicking right. Pienaar creates space on the outside plus his defense is better than Steyn's.

It's a tough one. I'd stick with Pienaar and see if they can get him into the rhythm of kicking properly under pressure. If he still kicks poorly by the end of the TriNations then I'd say make Steyn the number one flyhalf.

Pienaar kicked very well on tour last year so it's not like he can't.

It's a difficult choice. :)

I agree, pienaar is definitely the better fly half, he scored a try while steyn cost us a try through his poor defense. The backline lost their rhythm as soon as he went off the field, he has to work on his kicking game there is no doubt about. Still a very good performance from the boks, their discipline was better than on the lions tour.

Looking forward to the next match, should another cracker.

Good win for the boks, but the all black really played badly, they looked more dangerous with the ball, but the handling errors cost them in the end. The Aussie game will be a good one to watch, if we want to win the tri-nations we have to win all our home games and get a couple of away points, even bonus points would be crucial. M Stein surprised me, he did well in the no 10 jersey although for me pienaar would still be my first choice, as said before he just needs to work on his kicking game.

I reckon the only reason the All Blacks looked so bad was because of the pressure that we applied. Okay and really strange tactics by them such as not kicking the ball and running out of your own 22.

I also look forward to the Aussie game Valor. They've got the better running backs and we've got the awesome forwards plus some great kicking by Steyn, du Preez and other Steyn plus the great chasing by our wings. It's going to be an entertaining game. :)

Oh yeah and Morne Steyn surprised me as well. I'm a big Ruan Pienaar fan but even I've got to admit that Morne is our answer at flyhalf.

How can they give JP a yellow card?!
He does NOTHING! They can't accuse him of tackling high, since he doesn't tackle!!!

I see that the Springboks are very firm favourites with the bookies. More so than I expected. Does anyone here think that the Springboks will win by about ten points? I hope so but I won't bet on it. :)

Nope as MH said its going to be a very different game, its going to be a close game I think. Lets hope they can get the bonus point as well, that would put us in a good position for our tour to Aus/NZ.

Yeah, Newlands ....... I'm so hoping for a rain-free day, I'm in the mood for some running ruggers. Even though it means the Aussies will be more dangerous.

Yep it's in Cape Town. The weather is expected to be fair with no rain (so far).

The ref is the guy who whistled the last rugby World Cup final.

I think South Africa will win by about 5 points. *holds thumbs*

2 things will ensure us our victory -

Keep up our even step up our brilliant line-out work (we've been had by the Aussies before so we have to be on top of it)
And completely shut down the midfield ... that's where the Aussies can be strong.

I agree completely. Our midfield defense has to be top notch for this game. The Aussies have excellent backs. Our forwards will destroy theirs but if their backs keep finding space then we'll lose.

We should just keep the defense tight, keep playing in their half and keep them under pressure and we'll win easily.

I can't wait! :D
