The best Afrihost ADSL service for gaming

Why is everyone so hell bent on ADSL when other options like LTE and Wireless Fixed Broadband are a very quality alternative. ADSL compared to global standards are old technology which we're still embracing in SA.

There was a recent thread somewhere on My Gaming where the CEO of some ISP warned against so called gaming friendly providers and ISPs claims to prioritize gaming. So whose lying and whose honest about this?

The price for one makes LTE and 3g very expensive to download patches on. Also some games can take 200 megs an hour so just a weekend of playing your cap is gone.

I am on LTE (Only connection available to me) I can confirm that it is very expensive. I have got a cap of 30GB (R795 p/m I think) and watch some Netflix as well. Some months, when deciding that it is time for a patch or update or two, I am left with 15GB or less for the rest of the month. (Not enough) Most of my Steam Games I am reluctant to update because I always end up buying more data and topping up is really expensive.

Some months can easily go to R2000 if I am not carefull. :-)

Yeah lte is just too expensive for some people and also not always available everywhere. And stay away from afrihost is all i can say.

I wish I had another option - no ADSL available. Options are MTN or Telkom LTE....I have made my choice.:)

Well look at vox and look at crystalweb i think they offer wireless services as well and then i have something on my fb feed with wireless sattelite if u want the number.

Anything uncapped will be awesome - I have phoned so many people, had many more there, I myself worked for an ISP and had them put up a high site - but not enough interest to keep it. Many that I have filled in the online application forms that never contacted me back - I cannot handle stuff like that, because if it already starts like that - I do not want to know what the service will be like.
