The Division Thread

If you co-op with a friend and they are level 30 and you are level 10 and there is no level scaling and then they will be one shotting everything, making co-op useless. Level scaling scales people to the same level range.

Yeah, I get what you were saying, just didn't know under what scenario. That makes more sense now. It's hard to say actually. I know in Dark Zone there is scaling (matchmaking). You can't play with your friends until you're both in the same level scaling bracket, but this is just speaking of Dark Zone.

Unfortunately this would have been difficult to test in the beta as the highest rank/level was 8. I know there have videos or discussion I've watched that they have highlighted that the game will scale difficulty. If you have more people in your squad, enemies will be more and will be more tanky, over doing it solo.

Hope everyone had fun with the Beta. In my case RL left me with about 1 hour to play all weekend.

Can I have that source please?

Yeah, after playing the beta some more I have decided to wait first. I wanna see what the DLC will be like and whether there will be decent end game content. If it's gonna be like the beta the whole time it is going to get old really fast. If it does stay like that then I will rather stick with Destiny. The different classes and awesome weapons as well as great gameplay is more than enough to keep me playing.
Technically Division has 3 classes: Medic, Tech, and Security. It will all come down to how you choose to spec your character.

So if you want to get REALLY technical Division has 6 classes :D

A friend tells me he had to use a lockpick to open a door and that grenades/shotgun did not work.

Seriously?
some buildings have locked doors that you need to pick if you want the loot on the other side

Cheers mate.

So by you posting in this thread I take you have an interest and will be getting the game, and subsequently playing with myself and Malice?
/nudge nudge
No Beo remember, I told you he's going to wait till it costs R200

Just started up the game to try out the Dark Zone, only to find that the Beta is already over
When they said to the 22nd I thought it would at least be until this evening.

Was same. When I tried to play during the only time I had over the weekend on Sat afternoon, found the servers offline for maintenance. Grabbed a long lunch break today and logged in with 7 minutes of the beta left. Didn't have enough time to even reach the Base of Ops to visit the Rewards Vendor.

It said to the 21st? unless it changed at some point.
Nope, you're right - "The Open Beta will run through February 21, end of the day". I assumed that meant end of the day in the States, somewhere around 6AM here in SA. When I launched it at lunchtime I wasn't really expecting it to still be running, just wanted to see if there was any "offline mode" available (which is something I discovered in the Hitman Beta which also just ended.)
