The Elder Scrolls Online Beta

I see that the explorer pre-order you get from Takealot has a 3 day early access, the code which they will email you. Anyone know when the download for the release client will start?
 
The changes they're supposedly implementing (being able to skip the starter island, collision detection etc.) have made me a very happy camper. I'm interested to see what else they add before release.

*crosses thumbs for a few aesthetic improvements to the existing interface elements*
 
I read about the collision detection. If they have that between player and mobs I will be incredibly happy too, being able to properly tank with body blocking has always been a dream in MMOs. It does make for some exploitation though, so will see.

The original Guild Wars had collision detection. I wish GW2 did as well.
 
I remember the old EQ having full collision detection between all mobile elements in the game, players and mobs. Ahhh fun times trying to get into the AH with ogres standing in the doorway.

I can see why MMOs dont have it to be honest. Still would be nice though.

Good thing I went with the official store then, 5 days early access:)

They haven't announced yet when downloads will open. Did mention those with 5 days early access can play from 30 March.
 
It will take me 5 days at least to download 28gig, so probably will not even use my early access and play when I get the client in the post.
 
Dropped a pre-order for this yesterday, grabbed it off takealot with the explorer pack. Couldn't justify the R800+ price tag off their official site for the digital version. Do you know what you can do with R800 on a steam sale? Got a couple of friends who will be playing so at least I'll be in or the free month, been ages since I've played an MMO.
 
Bleh, I deleted the client after the last Beta, stupidly thinking there wouldn't be another one. Don't know if it's worth downloading all over again.
 
Apparently the beta will be able to update to the release client so at least that's a better reason to grab it instead of just for this weekend.
