The Golf Shot Thread

Hax, on a 2? Lol, there was a time that I could really play this game. I still frequently shoot sub 76 scores, but not as consistently as I did back in the day :(

if i had a handicap it would be oin the 36 mark ... only because i think thats the most it can be

36 for total beginners though. If you want to play in a competition the max for men is 24 and for women it is 30

It's not about your handicap but more about the enjoyment of the game and the company you're with.

I agree, but my Handicap is important to me as well, i have a bucket list item that needs clearing :)

I also love golf, the last game I played was a year ago though... and that sucked!!! Played at Atlantic Beach, so windy, lost something like 15 balls (that was me though, not the wind..).

Best round ever was 97, although I have been playing for years.... meh... does not help if you've played 15 games in 10 years....

Considering getting voucher on Flook.co.za, they have a fourball deal for R600 at Atlantic Beach again...

Best round ever for me was at Pebble Rock, just outside of Pretoria. I played a 85!! Got so chuffed with myself I nearly buried the golf cart in the last hole's sand trap.

I'm still stuck on the driving range:wtf:
I have an old 1860 golf set that I try and play with...needless to say I'm not getting anywhere.
I'll maybe invest in a proper set next year.

They are probably blades, very difficult clubs to hit with.

Heel-toe are easier to hit with, more forgiving.

Most certainly it's more forgiving. Tried to play with a blade set myself, but that ended pretty badly. I take it when your swing is much better blades give you more control over the shot. I'll just stick to full face clubs.

Well when I use the blades properly they hit quite well, but most of the time its hit or miss, but I used the blade chipper to get my ball in the hole in one hit :D.
