So why would you want to do that? To keep track of what you listen to. To build your library. Plus while you are scrobbling someone else may listen to it like a broadcast. All the major streaming places support Last.fm.

ah yes, metal. I've had a very long and topsy turvy relationship with the genre. It started way back in 1997 when I first heard Living Sacrifice's Reborn album. That was true metal to me. Metallica, Slayer, Magadeth, Anthrax and all those other type bands are more like rock actually. ( yes, yes I have had many arguments over my views but whatev, apologies in advance)
