The Official "MyGaming" Anime Thread

So I finished Death Note and I loved it. Was my first anime series and probably one of the best things I've ever seen. So the only other anime on my HD is Code Geass, I'm not too sure if I'll enjoy it. Can someone give me an idea what it's about and what themes are present?

In some ways you could almost call Code Geass a Death Note with more action. The protagonist is similarly adept at manipulating people and twisting conditions to his needs :). Code Geass is more sci-fi/mecha based, plenty of action, a whole bunch of twists. I think if you enjoyed Death Note you'll enjoy Code Geass as well. Make a note to yourself to get hold of the second season - if anything, its even better than the first.
 
I would also recommend Code Geese, awesome story and the animation is really good. If you want a good action anime Air master was all so very good.

Slightly newer version of Sailor Moon with better animation and less annoying voices :p

Believe it or not I actually managed to watch all of it :D I watched the Japanese version though (Tokyo Mew Mew) - Mew Mew Power was the Americanised version - no idea what the differences are tbh.

Ye I am busy watching the Japanese version with english subtitles and seen the english version too and haven't noticed much difference also.

Have not watched sailor moon never heard of it :D. I have a cat and tail fetish so any Anime with it I love :D.

Sailor Moon takes patience ... lots of it.

The plot's basically the same - with some minor differences - except that Sailor Moon is a lot longer (I have 3 seasons, and that's not even all of it), and the main character's voice is the equivalent of dragging nails across a black-board. Tokyo Mew Mew is also a fair bit newer, and it shows in the character design and animation.

Oh ok I might try watch Sailor moon and see if I like it.
 
Not much of an anime watcher since I don't have fast internet or uncapped, but I read quite a bit of manga. Some of the best manga I've read in the last year is The Breaker, The Breaker: New Waves, Veritas, High School of the Dead, Eden No Ori, and some others that I can't quite think of at the moment.

The worst is undoubtedly Gakuen Heaven. It has a weak story and is basically thinly veiled hentai. Wasn't expecting it since the start was almost decently set up (besides all the panty shots).
 
Watched the first episode of Hunter x Hunter, good first episode.
Now I can enjoy the series all over again :D
