The Official "MyGaming" Anime Thread

Sucks that he lost against Sakazuki and as a result to his loss, lost a limb too. I do enjoy all of the characters in One Piece, every the antagonists are well written. Don Flamingo is probably my all time favorite (so far).

Hehe, Marshall D. Teach is my main man. So far he's the one guy who could actually kill Kaido, I'm not saying he's stronger, but whatever devil fruit or special ability allowed him to take Newgate's fruit power might just be Kaido's undoing. Not to mention he's got the dopest laugh :)

Why do I still watch this every week? Next week is still filler.

What a gem of a show, I had been ignoring this one for far too long. Girls und Panzer is about a group of school girls whom live on a aircraft carrier with a town somehow retrofitted on top of it. They also drive tanks and do battle eith others, as a sport of sorts. These both seem to quite natural in the world that The series is set in. The tanks (Panzer as they are refered to in the anime) are used in a sport called "Tankery" and to others it is seen as any other normal club activity such as; Flower arrangement, Volleyball and Calligraphy. It has it's charming moments and in many ways the "iron and oil" aspect of the tanks seems to create a really nice contrast against the softer sides of the female characters.

I bet not a lot of people noticed that, I often skip the intro if I don't like the music or simply can't wait for the action to commence.

The OP song is actually really good, despite the Engrish it fits in well with the series.

*EDIT*
Infact it's probably one of the best OP's and ED's I have heard in a series in the last couple of years, the ending is especially mesmerizing.

I would post the actual OP/ED but it contains a bit of spoilers but the first verse/chorus are normally used. Regardless these area amazing choices of music which depict the series so well.

Unlike other Gundam series which focus more on the mecha and the politics more than the characters, Iron Blooded Orhpans does the latter, and it does it well. Focus is not just placed upon the pilots of the mobile suits but also everyone else involved in the series. Tekkadan (formerly CGS) is a PMC from mars who's main force is that or children and teenagers. They are labelled as space debris which can already speak volumes for their worth, which is nothing more than foot soldiers and canon fodder in battle. They revolt against their oppressors and form their own company called Tekkadan (Iron Flower Corps) which brings in the title of the series Iron Blooded Orphans.
A major difference from the previous Gundam series is the lack of fringe science and beam weapons which featured quite often in many other Gundam series. Instead battles between mobile suits are done with medieval style weaponry, and smaller mobile walkers make a majority of any force. This brings the action much closer, when looking at other series where combat was more about firing a more powerful canon than your opponent.

I am definitely looking forward to the second series coming later this year, with the primary plot's door is closed many smaller doors are opened. These had been developing over the course of the series. While little to no detail is given in what they might bring I am sure it will be just as good, or even better than the first series.

I initially hated the intro of Btooom!

Well..... now i'm a Nano fan :D

Pretty much all the Japanese artists/bands I like have been introduced by some kickass OP or ED, I still occasionally listen to some of the soundtracks I ended up downloading because of those themes.

:D for the longest time I had Papermoon, the Soul Eater OP, as my ringtone on my old Nokia. I'd bob my head every time my phone rang before I answered :)

I had 'Again', the FMA brotherhood intro as a ringtone once. One day during a test , my cell rang and disrupted everyone, I was enjoying the song so much I almost forgot to silence it, Sorry not Sorry :p

Seed is good, then Seed Destiny came out and I still do not know what they where trying to do there...
Lol, sounds like they were just milking the series.

*EDIT*
I noticed some of those files are only 120Mb must be trimmed down MP4's to save space.

You'd be surprised how well most of those files have been encoded. You'd have a hard time telling 'em apart from the source. I don't have a lot of bandwidth so I always look for the best compromise between file size and quality. The quality has gotten better with the adoption of x265 but in the past there were some shitty files.
