I played both the others. I have to confess I'm quite terrible at them, but I really enjoy the story.
Good to hear! I never found the games that difficult though. I guess it's different play styles. I like reading the journal/notes and preparing, which makes both games rather easy.
If you like the story, then you should consider reading the books. The first book is a short story collection called 'The Last Wish', it's only 250 pages so it's quite short. I've just started my final playthrough of TW1, and after reading two books in the series, I've caught on to more than a few references that I didn't get the first time through. Also the last short story in the book, aptly titled The Last Wish is about Geralt meeting Yennefer, and it's absolutely fantastic.
I can give you a link if you want to read it.
Unfortunately they messed up the order when translating them to English, so the 2nd book, 'The Sword of Destiny', which is another short story collection and the sequel to The Last Wish, but the prequel to the first main novel, Blood of Elves, is only being released on the 20th of May. Yeah, the order is quite complicated, took me a while to understand which book to read. Arguably that's also the most important one to read when to comes to the story of TW3. Fine for me though, seeing as I'll only be playing TW3 at the end of the month. Scrapping together the last of that SSD and GTX970 money. "whistling: Glorious high settings at 60FPS await.
Sigh a video of the ultra settings have been leaked.
All the footage from the Youtube event was filmed at Ultra settings, without nVidia hairworks and physx though. Not sure how it can be a leak when it's almost 5 days later and all the Youtubers are showing the same version of the game
