The official Witcher 3 thread

Quick and dirty translation:

- Preview build so no final benchmark
- GTX 770/R280X is enough for Ultra
- 2GB VRAM is enough
- Config files offer a lot of tuning (view distance, shadow resolution, texture size)
- Great multithreading (used all cores on a 4790k)
- midrange GPU and 3ghz 4 core (intel) CPU is enough for highest settings and good fps

I had a feeling it wouldn't be a big performance hog, especially after the downgrade. I wish there was a better word for that, downgrade sounds so negative.

Apparently the PC footage being shown isn't relative to the final version of the game. CDPR, after talking with the makers of one of the PS4/PC comparison videos, have decided to take down the video.

He also still states that the game will look as good as the 35 minute gameplay video released last year. Hmm... if you say so. CDPR, what are you doing? The game doesn't look like that anymore. Get your ducks in a row. Saying stuff like this is just going to get you more backlash.

Yip, I have to say I've lost a lot of respect for CDPR, the more they talk the more shit they sprout and now I read that a 280X will max the game @ 1080P? That alone tells me the graphics will be NOWHERE near as good as what we saw in 2013. Eh....My excitement for this game is dwindling.

Probably from one of the mom and pop stores. Last week, stores in the UAE broke the street date, then stores in South America, and now Germany.

Or maybe he just got his delivered really early? Who knows? I'm pretty annoyed 'cause like all the guy's who've pre-ordered, I've been waiting patiently, when other people have been playing for almost a week and a half now.

Yeah, the PR for TW3 has been dreadful. They're acting as if this is their first game. Someone there needs to get their shit together, because every time they open their mouths, they're digging the hole deeper.

Yeah, tell me about it man. I was OK with people in other countries having the game but now that I know people in SA have the game I am really annoyed.

I just want to find out where he got the game so I can see if I could maybe get them to give me my CE so long. Even if they keep the game until Tuesday I would really like to get the other stuff so long.
 
The same thing happened with Bloodborne. It's really annoying when retailers break release dates like this, or is it all a marketing ploy?!

Yip not bothering watching anything.
I always said I would pre order any cdpr game but this launch has changed that for me completely. I don't think I've ever seen such amateurish behavior from a publisher...Mmmm maybe from Konami over the last year.

I think comparing CDPR to Konami is a bit crazy. :p

This year a crapton of games have been sold early. Not really anything the publisher can do, other than find out which stores have done it and blacklist them. Still, the fact that they've made other people wait when they could just release is quite annoying.

Hopefully they learn a lesson from this launch and don't mess up Cyberpunk.

Yeah maybe a little harsh, think you've noticed how FUCKING annoyed I am with them lol
There are very few games that I look forward to these days and I dare say I have never been as excited for game like I was for the Witcher wild Hunt, but man this puts a bitter taste in my mouth.

As for Cyberpunk, I reckon it'll launch in 2017...so still a long way to go...Just hope they now see what dmg they can do by acting the way they have.
