The official Witcher 3 thread

13 hours for me :)

That's why I stopped going with physical orders. The stores/couriers incompetence got too much for me.

Teaches me to want to save 100 bucks... So tired of the poor service from local retailers, especially on pre-orders.

It can be difficult sometimes, but it leads to a more interesting experience if you do.

I guess it's actually the fact that I enjoy the story and setting that creates the contrast, though with titles previously mentioned (Mass Effect, Dragon Age) I feel detached and free to make those decisions. I never felt tied to the story/character.

Dunno if this has been posted:

Your REAL Guide To The Witcher 3's Characters

The_Imp_ZA and Isengard: I got an email from Raru this morning saying that the Witcher 3 is now in stock and ready for immediate dispatch. I reckon it's probably the same from Takealot even though it still says "Dispatching 19 May". I imagine they have received the stock and are just not promising delivery tomorrow in case it's late. I also ordered from Takealot, so I hope they are on the ball. I'll let you guys know though.

I am in the fortunate position where I can get the files from a friend tomorrow morning. Thanks to it being DRM-free, I can install it and play it without needing to activate the game. I hope the deliveries are on time anyway, I'd still prefer to install the old-school way from the disc :D

Yeah I noticed it says "In Stock" on takealot's website. There may be hope! :D

Well I'm only watching what has been shown in media previews and listening to people's reviews and discussions regarding it. Nothing spoiler related.

Takealot is getting me nervous, especially considering I took off tomorrow and Wednesday. It would suck if that was all for nothing.

There are more scars on his face than I remember...

That's what Geralt looks like when drinking almost too much potions. I say almost, because too much will kill him.

The only real scars he has (on his face) are those BeoTeK mentioned.

So those are the veins in his face as a result of the potions he has taken. They looked like scars at first. Only just noticed there's no indentation associated with the veins.

When will the DAY 1 PATCH be available for pre-load? Or will it only be available post go-live ?

I don't think it'll be available to pre-load, only on release day (unless it was included in the pre-load). It's only around 600mb though, less than an hour.

Received all my upgrade parts, just waiting on the case. Hopefully it gets delivered tomorrow so I can build and play TW3 (provided Takealot ship on time). :D

EDIT: I've changed my profile picture accordingly, I think. :p
